PEBBLES IN THE HAND 11/30/08
Last night I needed to do a quick errand outside in the
sheds and was babysitting my toddler grandson by myself,
so he had to go outside in the dark with me. The
floodlights cast a lovely shadow upon the millions of
small round rock we have in our beds.
He would pick up some rocks and say, “Rock!” and I would
repeat it after him, saying “Yes, rock!” Finally he
went over to a 1 foot tall piece of black lava rock and
said, “BIG rock!” I was tickled to hear him put 2 words
together. He was very impressed with all of these rocks
in our yard. When it came time to come back in to the
house, he had his hands full of small rocks that he just
did not want to let go of. He had gone past the oral
stage where he wanted to put everything in his mouth, so
I felt he was safe from that, but I did not want him
dropping rocks on the carpet for Wayne or I to step on.
He was so precious and wanted them so badly, I said
nothing and let him carry them into the house. This
morning as I went out into the kitchen I noticed all the
rocks in a little pile on the kitchen counter and it was
really quickened to me but I did not know why. Then
later today as I was looking up a word in the Greek, my
eye glanced at the following definition. I knew the
Lord must be speaking to me.

IMPRESSION: A pair of balance scales floated
into my mind, where one weighs things with weights, like
stones.

WORD TO PONDER: COUNTING, WEIGHING AND MEASURING
11/30/08
Now is the time when all things are being weighed in My
balance scales. I AM turning the tides and bringing
justice to long overdue injustices towards people and
nations. I AM teaching My beloved children to count the
cost of their decisions and weigh their daily
allotment. I AM teaching the truth of reaping and
sowing, by revealing the balance scales of right and
wrong. I AM measuring the influence the spirit of the
world and how this affects the freedom intended for My
people. Heed the cost as your life is weighed in the
balance.

A PLACE OF WEIGHING
There are many places in God, and each one is different
from the others; in fact, all things are in Him. Today
He took me to a new place of great severity and cold
exactitude, where the balances of God weigh, with
inflexible vigor, all things from the smallest to the
greatest. Although the sense of warm, flowing love is
absent, it is, nevertheless, the background against
which the severity of His balances operates.
Here there is tremendous exactitude and perfection of
harmonic distribution where nothing, not even the
smallest atom, is out of place, from its designated
place, nevertheless, all things are greatly moved upon
by the tremendous operations of these powers of great
severity. In this place of weight which is in
continuous and ceaseless operations, all things are
examined and weighed to utmost perfection;. Not one
thing, no matter how small is overlooked.
In this judging place which is impartial, inflexible,
solemn and severe, the atmosphere is not like that of a
tribunal or court of justice. It is more like that of a
school principal’s office, where a disobedient child is
brought for correction, or a godly home, where the sole
purpose of the wise discipline of an upright father is
to bring a rebellious child to right paths.
