A MOTHER'S LOVE; THE POWER TO KEEP

Let my life be poured with sacrificial love.

A sweetened fragrance through Your gentle dove.

Your keeping power is what I've been given.

For these my children I have striven.

My life is not my own, to my children I belong.

Let the orchestra of heaven play my life's song.

As You have kept me, I do keep them.

So nothing is stolen by the one who condemns.

I'm about my Father's business when each day I wake.

I linger in His Presence for my children's sake.

As they go about their busy days

I long to be near them in every way.

I long to be with them and hold them in my arms.

And keep them from seduction, from the one who charms.

I am weak and know not how.

To the One Who is strong, to Him I do bow.

His keeping power is what I trust.

It's a walk of faith - that is a must.

Oh Lord - to touch their hearts, to touch their souls.

To bring them comfort, to make them whole.

Their sorrows are many, their pain is great.

Let me lighten their load, let me lighten their fate.

I yearn to touch them, I long to abide.

In fellowship and communion walking side by side.

A perfect circle of united trust.

Joined with the Father, the One Who is just.

We will know one another as He knows us.

Bonded in communion and holy trust.

No big I or little you.

Only servants for Him that are humble too.

We stand united across the land

As our sons grow up into a man.

To rule and reign on earth below.

As it is in heaven what's bestowed.

John 17: 20-22

"I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me because of their testimony. My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just as you and I are one, Father--that just as you are in me and I am in you, so they will be in us, and the world will believe you sent me. "I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are-- I in them and you in me, all being perfected into one.
