Even before Sandy was called into writing, she was given the heart and
calling of a Levite; one who worships the Lord day and night before His Presence.
Even in her busy moments, she worships the Lord in her head and heart. By
the time she was 22 years old, she was a prepared musician, having led her
own bands and singing groups. She also was an accompanist when needed, and
traveled in these various areas of ministry.
At the age of 23 she laid it all down on the altar and walked away from that
life for 22 years. During that time, her Mom had a vision of her returning
and playing the piano for countless faces and giving the glory to the Lord.
Several years before the Lord gave it all back, Sandy had reoccurring visions
of playing some strange kind of piano with buttons. She would see herself
pushing these buttons at the same time she was playing, and all these awesome
sounds were coming forth!
One day she went out of town for a conference and
when she came back and asked her husband what he did for the weekend, he
said, "Looked at keyboards." "Oh that's nice," she said. She was so
dead to her music that the only keyboards she thought of were computer keyboards.
The next day he took her for a drive and they ended up in front of a music
store. Nonplused, she asked, "What are we doing here?" "We are looking at
keyboards." "KEYBOARDS!!!!!! You meant THIS kind of KEYBOARD????"
With her being in total surprise, they entered the store. She watched the
dealer sit down and demonstrate these strange electronic keyboards. As he
played the keyboard, he pushed misc buttons which produced awesome sounds.
Tears swelled up in her heart and eyes. There before her was the fulfillment
of the reoccurring vision she'd had. The rest is history!
What you hear on her recordings are the Mark 12 Kurzweil, the K2000 VX with
full Orchestra Ram, Alesis sound module, Casio rhythm, all recorded as Wav
files on a Korg D16. These instruments have not only the authentic sounds of
a real live orchestra, they also have synthesized, out of this world kind
of sounds. Many of the ethereal and heavenly sounds you will hear on her
recordings are sounds she has created herself, through the seemingly unlimited
possibilities of layering. She prays that you will experience His Presence
and anointing as she ministers to the Lord through the wonder of sound and
heart.
