OLD MEANIE

I HEARD THE LORD SAY (5/6/95): First of all, throw nothing away. It must have been a mean bush.

This was a dark speech riddle. I knew immediately what He meant! The Lord often speaks to me in riddles. They are mystery Words that take some time to chew all His different applications; kind of like chewing jerky!

PAST VISION: In 1984 I had a vision where I saw Moses and the burning bush. In later revelation, I understood that the Lord was going to take the body of Christ in a journey out of spiritual Egypt, just as He did the Israelites. When Moses was sent with the good Word that the Lord was going to deliver them from their taskmasters, life only became worse. This made God appear to be quite mean to them!

During one of the rough times in her life, Grandma Anna once heard the Lord say to her that she thought He was an old meanie. She said, "He was right; I did!" But looking back on it, she says it was one of the most fruitful times of her life. It changed her dramatically, and brought her into a loving intimacy with Him.

INTERPRETATION: It all has to do with overcoming darkness and leaving it behind. To be overcomers, we all pass through a great dark storm. We just want to toss away that time in our life and walk away. But the Lord plants some very important foundations in our lives during that time, and He does not want us to disregard our training. When we come out the other side of the storm we are able to discern Him for Who He is and His priorities. When He spoke, "Throw nothing away," personally He was referring to my rhema journals. I was so disheartened at the time, I just wanted to throw it all away and give up in one big heap.

UPDATE APPLICATION: "It must have been a mean Bush." In the present world-wide events, that statement does not need an interpretation. To the world, the Lord would say, "Don’t throw Bush away, I have placed him in authority for My purposes."

{Words to Ponder are summaries of His quickened Words of prophetic revelation, punched with the word of wisdom and written under inspiration.}

WORD TO PONDER: THROW NOTHING AWAY

Because you are being raised in an environment of warfare, your perception of Me is that I an old meanie. In your discernment of life, circumstances, and events, please do not dismiss anything until after your storm, and then you shall not only see things as they really are, but also know Me as I AM.

"The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us, nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust." (Ps 103:8-14 NKJV )
