2/15/14 EYES THAT SEE FROM MISALIGNED SOULS

HEARD: They see things they shouldn’t have seen. Why? Layers of the soul.

Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

2/14/14: SOUL WOUNDS AFFECT LIFE AND MINISTRY

VISION: I saw an announcement that said a lady minister had died. (In real life she died years ago.)

HEARD: Why? A wound in her soul. It had buried deep inside. She didn’t know it was there. Trauma. When I took her home, I showed her how it affected her life and her ministry.

HEARD: She’s beautiful, I transformed her. I made her into My image. Glorious.

Romans 8:29-30 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

1) THE EYES OF OUR UNDERSTANDING: OUR SPIRITUAL PERCEPTIONS

Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

UNDERSTANDING {Gk}: deep thought, the mind, imagination, understanding.

Through our imagination and ponderings, we open spiritual portholes that impart to us understanding. Because of this truth, it is very important that our thought life be obedient to scripture, else what we will be perceiving will come forth with dark light and our perceptions will be twisted and misaligned. Consider this scripture with an application towards the eye of our understanding!

Matthew 6:22-23 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore your eye be sound, your whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if your eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Romans 1:21-22 Because, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

When people have wounds in their soul that have not healed and/or have not healed properly, it warps their perspectives about people, circumstances and God. Whatever they hear through people or God, or whatever experience they have that is filtered through the perverted lens of the wound, they are unable to “see” the truth about themselves, others or the Lord. It is a very, very sad thing to see how old soul wounds can affect people in such a misaligned way. It becomes almost impossible for them to believe the truth for what it actually is, and they are left bitter and blind. It is very grievous to watch this happen to people, when we see them fall and become wounded through offense. Their thought life is miserable, their conversations and attitudes about life are negative.

They are easily offended and begin a downward spiral of becoming:

·       Critical

·       Faultfinding

·       Accusing

·       Judgmental

·       Angry

·       Bitter

·       Resentful

·       Pessimistic

·       Skeptical

·       Depressed

·       Hopeless

·       Apathetic

·       Unbelieving

·       Unable to see or accept the truth

HOW TO BE HEALED OF SOUL WOUNDS: FORGIVE

God has made the issue of healing very simple, it all boils down to truly forgiving, which means to LET THE OFFENSE GO. Cast off what the person did, throw away self-blame, and release God from allowing it to happen.

~ UN-FORGIVENESS IS REFUSAL TO PARDON~

We are PROMISED that if we do not forgive, then the Father will not forgive us. In the areas of forgiving, judging and condemning, we are promised that to the measure we do this, it is the same measure that will be dealt to us. It is like looking at offense and instead of harming another, it bounces off a mirror and back onto oneself. The Lord commands us to forgive for our own sake.

Mark 11:25-26 And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against any: that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Luke 6:37 Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be condemned: forgive, and you shall be forgiven:

Matthew 7:1-5 Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you measure, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why behold you the speck that is in your brother's eye, but consider not the beam that is in your own eye? 4 Or how will you say to your brother, Let me pull the speck out of your eye; and, behold, a beam is in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye; and then shall you see clearly to cast out the speck out of your brother's eye.

2) OUR LITERAL EYES - GATEWAYS TO THE SOUL

Our literal eyes are gates or portholes into our soul. It is very important to keep them consecrated to God and protect not only our spiritual porthole for visions and dreams but also to protect our perceptions.

John Paul was talking about the young shall see visions and the old shall dream dreams, based on Joel 2.

Joel 2:28-29 NKJV

And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

A man asked John Paul if a child can talk to angels, based on Joel 2 and if so, how come this man’s 4 year son can see the angel but he cant? John Paul told him that the next time he heard his son talking to the angel, to ask his son to ask the angel that question.

So his wife had fixed dinner, he runs upstairs to get his 4 year old son and he walks into his room. His son is talking to this angel. He says, “Son are you talking to the angel again?” He said, “Yah Dad.” So he said, “Will you ask the angel why I can’t see him?” So, the little boy listened and apparently the angel was talking to him. He said, “Dad the angel wants me to tell you the reason why you cant see him is because your eyes have beheld too much evil.” After the father regained his composure, he said, “Will you ask the angel if I ever will be able to see him?” The little boy asked the angel and he said, “Yah, the angel wants me to tell you, Yes, you will, but its going to take a while because the wounds to your soul are deep.”

Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed , And shuts his eyes from seeing evil: He will dwell on high; His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks; Bread will be given him, His water will be sure.

KEEP YOUR OWN GATES 9/14/03

When I walked the earth, the foundation of My power was in what I heard and saw. I did nothing except what I heard and saw My Father doing. The secret is in what you are learning to hear and see and the enemy knows this important key. As you seek to open your channels to hear and see My Word, remember to keep your own ear and eye gates pure. Your eye gate is the lamp for your body. If what you see is good, then you will be filled with light. Remember that TELE…VISION is what you hear and what you see. Be forewarned that there is an enemy of your soul that seeks to so pollute your ear and eye gates that what you are drawn to hear and see will be corrupt, counterfeit and void of life.

“The eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is sound, your entire body will be full of light. But if your eye is unsound, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the very light in you [your conscience] is darkened, how dense is that darkness!” (Matt 6:22-23 AMP)

PRAYER: Lord our hearts and spirits are grieved as we listen to those who have become embittered and blind because of their having gone through the deep pain of rejection, betrayal, and disappointment. They are blind to the cause of their own miseries and no longer able to see or remember the truth. Father, we are earnestly asking that You will send forth Your rod of deliverance to open their eyes. Give them the grace and strong will to cast away the offenses and forgive. Lord bring them out of the dark prisons in which they dwell, in Jesus name. We have compassion and sorrow over them Lord, please set them free!

Isaiah 42:7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
