Our Choices Between Death and Life in the Tongue

Hi Loved Ones,

As most of you know, I have recently had a serious and extremely painful attack on the tendons of my body. I want to thank you for all the prayers offered on my behalf. And your responses were an overwhelming blessing.

I believe the Lord has clearly spoken His corporate Word to me through this painful experience and I want to pass it on, because I have come to realize this was a very big issue where the ramifications were much larger than just my own life. It is a sign to the corporate body of Christ.

A WARNING

As I mentioned in my last post, just prior to the first tendon attack I had heard the voice of a principality say, "I intend to CUT you OFF." I heard this while typing at the computer. A few days later came my first attack on my top of my wrist that pinched a nerve and incapacitated the use of my entire arm including fingers due to the level of excruciating pain. I called upon the Lord and repented before Him of any known and unknown sin, for I knew this was way out of proportion of anything I had ever suffered in my life. The following morning I had regained the use of my arm and hand, but my hand was swollen to almost twice the size. The swelling went down that afternoon prior to taking the medication that the doctor prescribed. I felt that this was a sign that it was a spiritual attack.

ANOTHER WARNING

A couple days later I had tape on my wrist to keep me from bending it, and to give it rest. My little niece saw the tape and asked, "Did it get CUT OFF?" I was flabbergasted at the confirmation. I knew this was a demonic spiritual attack but did not stop to think it also might be a warning from the Lord.

TENDONS ARE CONNECTORS IN THE BODY

After that original attack, the tendons all over my body went through charlie-horse like cramps, jumping around in misc. places. At one time I was bedridden and unable to walk and so I sent out my recent prayer request to my list. I received over 150 emails of prayers and blessing back… I am still amazed at your precious love and prayer support! 24 hours after sending that prayer request, I was able to walk again and regain the use of both of my arms!! Thank you SO much.

Two of those responses shared the parable that the tendons are CONNECTORS in the body. This was very quickened to me that it was something to do with the CONNECTIONS within the body of Christ. When I went to post a thank you letter, I discovered that the server that sends out The Quickened Word, (InJesus) was "CUT OFF." I was unable to communicate.

I think they have now been cut off for one week. This is a server that hosts somewhere around 6,000 Christian ministries in connecting and communicating with the body of Christ and to their local churches. Many of these ministries rely on donations through InJesus service and what this did to them financially I can only guess. No matter what the circumstances were in their server getting cut off, I know this is all "connected" with the theme of this post and was no small attack.

PAST WARNING FORGOTTEN

I record my rhema in a little hand held recorder and type when I get time, and so today, I was listening and typing past rhema, and came across what occurred on November 2nd. I was totally amazed and had completely forgotten about this. Here are the details of what occurred on that day:

1. At lunch I heard the same voice of the enemy say, "I intend to cut you off." I took authority over it in Jesus Name. (In finding this in my rhema, I had no memory that I had heard this prior to just recently.)

2. When I came home, I went on line and read Bobby Conner’s post that went out on Elijah list that day. In that Word, he said, "The Word I get is ...'Disconnection' - the aim of the enemy is to bring about disconnection. The plan is to CUT, separate, damage or destroy what aids us in CONNECTION and communication."

3. When I went off line by right clicking with my mouse, the little menu that popped up said the word, "Disconnect" in it. That little word disconnect was precisely lined up with Bobby’s Word disconnection. It was literally one on top of the other. I knew this was no accident. It was a strong enough sign to me that it seriously took my attention to prayer.

4. I was still praying about this when I went to the doctor that afternoon for my yearly physical. On the drive, I was reminded by the Holy Spirit of Bobby’s past Word about him seeing the 2 demons dressed as telephone repair men and it having something to do with communications. I couldn’t remember what the Word said, but the Holy Spirit had brought it to my mind. At the EXACT moment that I realized the Holy Spirit had brought it to mind, I looked up and passed a telephone repair truck and 2 repairmen were up among the wires working on the phone lines.

5. A few minutes later I passed a teenager who was digging a hole in the ground with a chainsaw! He was less than one foot away from some kind of metal transformer box that had been buried in the ground. All I could think of was him accidentally cutting the wires with that saw and I prayed over him and the parable of all that had occurred that day.

6. That afternoon while I was on the phone sharing all of this, we got disconnected.

7. Then I realized that for several days, I had only been receiving partial Elijah lists posts and not all of them. This was a definite interruption in prophetic communications.

THE TONGUE HAS THE POWER TO BLESS OR CURSE

After the appointment, I had forgotten to look up Bobby Conner’s Word about the telephone repair men. (I wish I had.) The same Sunday that my little niece had asked me if my hand had gotten cut off, I had received a Word from the Lord that a spirit of death was over the body and so I led our congregation in a repentance prayer. One of the things we repented of was the use of our tongues, for the Holy Spirit had reminded me of the scripture:

Prov 18:21 NKJV

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Prov 18:21 NLT

Those who love to talk will experience the consequences, for the tongue can kill or nourish life.

We also repented of speaking against God’s anointed, of complaining about them, and about loosing word curses upon our brothers and sisters when we judge them, criticize them or speak against them in any way. After that day, the spasms in my body continued and I never did look up Bobby’s telephone repairmen Word until today.

WORD CURSES

Earlier this year I suffered a very intense pain between my shoulder blades that I felt came from a spirit of back stabbing, back biting and accusation. I fought this pain for many weeks. And it was worse every time I was posted things on the Internet. I forgave any accusers, and released blessings upon them. As I did so, the pain between my shoulder blades would subside, but never went away. Months later, right after a particular controversial post, (the apology letter and fighting principalities) the pain was severe, and in a corporate gathering with the leadership of our church, they prayed over me, then I once again verbally and corporately loosed forgiveness over my accusers and released blessing to them in Jesus Name. (Matt 5:44) The pain immediately left and has not returned. This was the difference between night and day. Bad pain, no pain. That was months ago. No more between my shoulder blades.

BOBBY’S WORD

In Bobby’s Word about the telephone repairmen, he saw 2 high level demons named "Accusation and Suspicion". They were planting bugs within the body of Christ in order to contaminate our communications. Quote from this Word: "I was shown the names of some of these bugging devices. They are rivalry, which produces a spirit of competition, slander, gossip, faultfinding, murmuring, smearing, using our words to bring about insinuation and bitter backbiting. When this happens the very poison of malice is in our mouth. The Lord said He would give the Church power to take the sword of the Spirit and cut the throats of these two evil spirits." {end quote}

LIFE AND DEATH

I received many confirmations in the responses that the body of Christ has really been hit hard with the spirit of infirmity this year. And this includes those who operate in high levels of anointing, who need their health in order to continue in ministry. And there were several responses of people who were experiencing similar, strange and traveling pains in their bodies. In pondering all of this, the Lord reminded me of Psalms 102 (and the year 2002) and it mentioning about being cut down in mid life. I felt the warnings I received and what I had heard was a serious and high level principality that has been given permission to touch the body of Christ because of our sins. The hedge was broken and a door opened to this, and I believe with all my heart this connects with reaping the fruit of our tongues. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." (Prov 18:21 NKJV)

REPENTANCE CLOSES DEMONIC DOORS

Beloved of the Lord, I have seriously repented of every time (known and unknown) that I have used my tongue to loose death and not life. I feel I have been seriously trained and disciplined and that it needs to be shared with you, so that you can learn from this. (Heb 12:10) We all have this sin, for it is the hardest member of the body to bring under control of the Holy Spirit. And yet this is exactly what the Lord is telling us to do. And I believe that all the confirmations in this posting say that it is a serious Word and that it literally is the difference between death and life; not only our ministries, our promises, our churches, our health, but our very lives on earth.

James 3:1-11 NLT

"Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged by God with greater strictness. 2 We all make many mistakes, but those who control their tongues can also control themselves in every other way. 3 We can make a large horse turn around and go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth. 4 And a tiny rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot wants it to go, even though the winds are strong. 5 So also, the tongue is a small thing, but what enormous damage it can do. A tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. 6 And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is full of wickedness that can ruin your whole life. It can turn the entire course of your life into a blazing flame of destruction, for it is set on fire by hell itself. 7 People can tame all kinds of animals and birds and reptiles and fish, 8 but no one can tame the tongue. It is an uncontrollable evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it breaks out into curses against those who have been made in the image of God. 10 And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!"

And so it is time for each of us to repent of sowing contention. I have noticed that on the Internet there are a lot of seeds sown of disagreement and contention among the prophetic and the body of Christ. It was very obvious right after 9/11. I have felt the Holy Spirit grieve over the release of such discord over the Internet. And so we need to repent not only for own sins, but also for the sins of the prophetic and any leaders who would throw darts at other ministries. We are all on the same team, and some have yet to really understand who the enemy is.

WE DEDICATE OUR TONGUES TO YOU LORD

Abba Father, please forgive us for using our tongues to send word curses and death upon those You dearly love! We are deceitfully wicked even when we try to be righteous. And that leads us right back to You Lord Jesus, for we will never be righteous on our own. It is only through Your blood spilt for us that we are righteous and made in right standing with our Abba Papa. And it is only Your powerful blood that washes all the word curses away that we have loosed upon others, that others have loosed upon us, and that we have loosed upon ourselves — for we reap what we sow. Oh Abba, we ask now that You forgive the sins of our tongues and CUT OFF all the enemy has planned against us. We ask that You be our defense, not because we deserve it, but because we are helpless without You and are asking for Your mercy. And so we throw ourselves upon the altar Lord and say, CUT OFF the wicked fruit of our tongues and may they be dedicated to You, to bring a beautiful harvest of blessing and life and anointing to set the captives free in Jesus Name. Amen.
