THE TOLLING OF THE BELL

PARABLE

Before the Civil war, there were Christian's from Canada who traveled down to the southern states as "conductors" and secretly gathered slaves who were interested in taking the journey north to freedom. Basically the slaves were given instructions to follow the maps to Chicago, with secret places of refuge along the way. The houses of refuge were lit with a candle in the window and the password to be invited in was, "A friend of a friend."

Waiting in Chicago, there was a lady they called "Moses" who was coordinating the movement. They placed people inside coffins to travel the final 6 hours via train on to the Canadian border. I thought it interesting that they had to travel by coffin for the last leg of the journey. This was a parable of their final death to self. Those on the other side set up a liberty bell in Canada, and every time someone crossed the border, they rang the bell for them. I really sobbed when I heard this. I knew this was the same heroic journey of many to find their quest for freedom in the Spirit. There were over 40,000 slaves who crossed the border to freedom prior to the civil war.

HEARD: Seeing the door opened. Deliverance.

A SIGN: It was dusk outside and we were driving to a meeting up north. A Mahesh tape was playing and he had just said the phrase, "Shining like the stars." Then he said to "keep focusing on the light." At that moment my eyes fastened onto a door that was left open into a darkened house. There was one small light on in the room of the opened door. The rest of the house was dark and so was everything around the outside of this farm house. At the very instant that Mahesh had said to keep focusing on the light, my eye was drawn to the only light in the area and its door was open. I knew the Lord was quickening this to me as a sign.

THE WHITE LIGHT

"… A "great light" will be offered to those who have formally known darkness and gloom. Much like the promise given to the land of Zebulun and Naphtali, the people who walk in darkness will see a brilliant light and he will make the latter time a glorious season. (See Isaiah 9:1-2) This is for the land "beyond the Jordan" as we cross over into the day of promise. Illumination will be coming to those who have formally embraced traditionalism and religious structures and many will now embrace divine light."

There will emerge from the throne of Heaven great deposits of Heavenly light into the spirit and soul of the Church to ignite us on the course of destiny and high purposes… There are many applications to white and even more as it relates to light. Some pertain to the purity, consecration and holiness that is to characterize God's people. Light dispels the darkness of our soul as He lights the candle of our innermost being." (John 8:12)

HEARD [10/11/03]: Candelabra. The great awakening after a long winter’s nap.

VISION: I saw a liberty bell being rung. I saw the flash of a finger in the sky reach down and touch the big ball at the bottom of the bell. Instant life came into the bell as it turned into a brilliant, bright white light.

HEARD: Liberty to the captives. Fear God. Go.

HEARD [10/23/03]: Plan. Coming up, a bell tower.

DREAM: I saw a volcano erupt. I saw people escaping the hot lava flow by riding on a chunk of land that had some green grass on it and a tree.

HEARD: Between the porch and the altar.

Joel 2:15-17 NLT

Blow the trumpet in Jerusalem! Announce a time of fasting; call the people together for a solemn meeting. Bring everyone--the elders, the children, and even the babies. Call the bridegroom from his quarters and the bride from her private room. The priests, who minister in the LORD'S presence, will stand between the people and the altar, weeping. Let them pray, "Spare your people, LORD! They belong to you, so don't let them become an object of mockery.

CONFIRMATION

I wrote this following Word to Ponder, "The Bell Tower Rings" on 10/23/03. On 12/22/03 there was an article from Reuters entitled, "Earthquake Rang Planet 'Like a Bell'." It was about California’s largest earthquake in four years, magnitude 6.5. I post the Words to Ponder (PonderWords) online from 2-4 months after my rhema, in chronological order. I thought it no accident when this Word to Ponder was posted on the Internet as the first entry for the year 2004. I felt a corner had been turned. We are the salt of the earth and our prayers are more vital then even before.

WORD TO PONDER: THE BELL TOWER RINGS

Long we have waited for this hour of the great awakening, when in two opposite extremes, I ring the bell. Listen! Even now the bell tower is ringing. On one side, this bell rings liberty for the captives! Break the cords of the pain of delay and be released into your birthright. It is My joy to give you the kingdom for such a time as this. Deliverance, deliverance is coming, deliverance is nigh, deliverance is here. Within the great irony of a failing and fallen world, I will set My people free! They will go forth amidst the fires, and yet they will fear only their God, for they know the One Who is their all consuming fire.

Those on the opposite side hear the same bell, but they hear a different sound. Will they heed the warning? Awake from your slumber! Rise from your beds of apathy and pleasures and listen to the signs of the times. Like the magma of a fiery volcano, the consequences of rebellion and sin are spewing out. The toll of the bell rings warning, yet few will heed.

My love is so fierce that I will stop at nothing to awaken those in Jezebel’s bed. Come out, My people, come out! Separate yourselves. Turn to the only One Who can save you from the ravages of sin. The earth grows hot with the consequences of defiance, and the bell rings for all who would listen. Come to your Maker and reject Him not. For He alone holds the keys to your deliverance for such a time as this.

Heb 12:25-29 NKJV

See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven." Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.
