Sandy Warner ~ ~ ~ ~

I feel that God has sent me a phone call today. He sent me a Word through a subscriber that was really quickened to me as a warning about not settling back in to old ways and childhood patterns. God help me and God help us all! Our flesh nature is something that we have to keep constantly on top of and not give into compromise in any way.

Hi, I've subscribed to your Quickened Words for some time now and have been helped and blessed, sometimes by the amazing timeliness of a word and at other times by having a question answered. This brings me to a question.

Do you have any idea what a rotary telephone may symbolize? You know, the old-fashioned kind that you'd dial rather than pushing buttons on? Several days ago, I watched the beginning of an old movie and the main character called someone on a rotary phone. It was nostalgic for me as I remembered that kind from my childhood. A few days later, I saw another scene on a show with yet another rotary phone. I was starting to wonder if God was getting my attention. Then, tonight, I glanced at a metal pencil sharpener on my dresser that I haven't paid much attention to and noticed with some astonishment (at the timing) that it has a rotary dial depicted on it. In the center of the dial is a small oval with what appears to be a silhouette of two people shaking hands.

I felt that might have something to do with what God is saying to me. I wondered if you might have ever had quickened words about rotary phones.

The only thing that I can think of is the parable of calling upon the Lord and the rotary movement of the hands... taking a number of steps forward, only to revert back again to where one started. Kind of like 3 steps forward and 3 steps back. The rotary telephone is outdated and also represents the past. I think that the key is letting go of the past and changing old patterns.

Lord help us all to overcome our old patterns and be renewed into Your image, in Jesus Name!

Thanks once again for your reply. It certainly gives me a direction in which to ponder. The metal pencil sharpener I noticed is actually a phone. The little oval in the center of the rotary dial with two people greeting (shaking hands) makes me wonder too if God may be setting up a connection with someone from my past (or something of that nature) and if it may help somehow in letting go of some things from that time. I just have to wait and see what God does and also seek Him meanwhile for assistance in the area of letting go of baggage. Your response and insight are appreciated and valued. Thanks again.

Sweetheart, your phone is blinking. You have two messages from Me, "You are free! And I love you!" (Smile) You have been so faithful to gather your oil to keep your lamp shining bright while you wait for Me. It won't be long, loved one. Healing is coming for all those wounding thorns of delay. There's been a shift in the Kingdom to release everything held back. Sit expectantly on the edge of your chair -- waiting for Me with hope in your heart!

"He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. "For the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, And He has set the world upon them." (1 Samuel 2:8 NLJ)

{Words to Ponder are summaries of His quickened Words of prophetic revelation, punched with the word of wisdom and written under inspiration.}

Dear ones, as so often said but not heeded, step beyond your past.  No more taking two steps forward and then 2 steps back.  Do not return to your old habits of crying out to Me for deliverance and then settling right back into the same bondage.  In your youth, you sought comfort from stress, emotional pain and conflicts through the comforts of this world.  I have delivered you from that as My very own.  I have strengthened your will and delivered you from demonic enslavement.  You have grown in the spirit beyond childhood and are growing up into maturity as ruling sons and daughters. You have the power to say no.  Be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.  Resist the flesh and the comforts of this world and instead push your buttons towards Me in one easy step.  Call on Me and I will answer you in your distress.

Gal 5:13-14 NLT
For you have been called to live in freedom — not freedom to satisfy your sinful nature, but freedom to serve one another in love.

1 Cor 6:12 AMP
Everything is permissible (allowable and lawful) for me; but not all things are helpful (good for me to do, expedient and profitable when considered with other things). Everything is lawful for me, but I will not become the slave of anything or be brought under its power.
