HURRICANE KATRINA
I am an intercessory barometer, and I pick up things in
the Spirit realm and pray them through until I find
release. For the 2-3 weeks up to hurricane Katrina, I
felt an increasing sense of urgency and pressure. It
finally culminated into wrestling with the spirit of
fear, apprehension, dread. As intercessors, it is
important to separate the difference between our own
soul giants, and what we are sensing going on in the
room or world around us. The spirits of fear are not
something I deal with in my own life, the increasing
sense of urgency and pressure I felt with this was
something very big. I did not know about Hurricane
Katrina until after it hit on Monday August 29th. I
believe that we are not out of the woods in our need for
prayer, preparation and heeding warnings for safety and
so I am sharing the Word that I received. It is
especially meaningful to me that I did NOT know about
the hurricane when I received and gave this Word.
Here is the chronological order of the dates collected
from internet news:
On Saturday night, August 27th Mayor Ray
Nagin said he would probably ask people to leave at
daybreak Sunday. On Sunday August 28th Nagin
declared a state of emergency and ordered a mandatory
evacuation of the city of New Orleans. Monday morning
of August 29th Hurricane Katrina hit the gulf
coast states. A large section of the 17th
street canal levee broke Monday afternoon. The levee on
the lower 9th ward broke earlier. These gave
way causing about 80 percent of the city to be flooded
with water up to 20 feet deep.
Here is the Word the Lord gave me relating to these
events. I believe this Word is a sign to those of us
constrained within a spiritual climate and needing
deliverance.
Note: I wrote the following in my journal before Katrina
on Saturday August 27th.
FLASH VISION: Saturday morning, August 27th
I had a flash vision of 2 identical scenes along with
the emotions when watching 2 scenes in 2 movies. While
waiting rescue, one family survived the elements of a
plane crash in the snowy mountains. The other was a
scene from Juristic Park 3 about surviving in the midst
of dinosaurs - also waiting rescue.
In the plane scene, they had to leave the warmth and
security of the cabin and climb to the top of the
mountain to reach help. Because of not wanting to
battle the elements, the mother and the kids outvoted
the dad who wanted to leave and climb to the top. The
dad left without them, so they were forced to follow.
Sure enough, they were rescued from the top of the
mountain.
In Jurastic Park, two were in an old truck filled with
supplies in the center of the island. They had to go
through the dinosaurs in order to reach the ocean, where
help would arrive.
In both scenes, I had the same nurturing feeling. …
YES, stay put, don’t move, wait til help comes. Don’t
risk, just hole up and stay warm. I wanted the
emotional security of the nest. After seeing the
vision of the 2 scenes back to back, I had that feeling
- that longing to hold onto the secure enclosed place.
That is where so many are now. They do not understand
that in their immobility, they are becoming surrounded
by the elements rising against them. It is time to move
towards deliverance.
PERFECT CONFIRMATION: I turned with anointed hands to
this scripture and its similar story.
2 Kings 7:3-4 NLT
Now there were four men with leprosy sitting at the
entrance of the city gates. "Why should we sit here
waiting to die?" they asked each other. "We will starve
if we stay here, and we will starve if we go back into
the city. So we might as well go out and surrender to
the Aramean army. If they let us live, so much the
better. But if they kill us, we would have died anyway."
The city was surrounded in terrible famine and their
supplies were growing smaller and smaller with each
day’s supply. If they wanted to survive, they had to
break out.
I realized all 3 stories were in the same identical
places. They had to be willing to leave their place of
comfort and travel to where the help was. They had to
battle the elements in order to reach help.
This was a powerful Word, because the Holy Spirit told
me I had finished laboring over some of His promises.
Now, I was MOVING from transition into the “delivery
room.” Just like those survivors in the scenes I saw, I
needed to MOVE in order to gain the deliverance of my
promises. This is a time when there is a great bearing
down, almost against G forces when the time comes to
press through to completion. There are periods of rest
between each push. He emphasized how important the
periods of rest were, and to take them when I saw them.
When He told me this, He actually used the pun “delivery
room.”
He would deliver my promises through the kingdom of
darkness, into the light, and I would also become a
deliverer, providing food for the poor and desperate. I
knew this was a time for those with the Joseph calling
to be thrust into place. I knew of 3 people who were
standing against great odds this very week to bring
their Joseph calling to birth.
Col 1:12-14 NKJV
…giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be
partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and
conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love…
WORD TO PONDER: LET GO AND MOVE OUT 8/27/05
Many of My own have been stuck within the confines of
dwindling resources with limited freedom to change
difficult circumstances. They have been waiting to be
rescued. The remote places in which they find
themselves, is causing them to be cut off from the help
they need. There is a window of time, a window of
escape opened to find greater expanse, freedom and
promotion, but they have to be willing to move to be
delivered from the tight and narrow place.
Be willing to let go of the comfort zone and move.
Change positions, change locations, change mind-sets.
Find your courage and desperation to be willing to move
out of the cave dwellings and move through the obstacles
in order to find the help that you need for a greater
future and greater provision. Natural and spiritual
help is coming towards you, but you have to change
positions to be in the right place to receive.

SATURDAY NIGHT AT CHURCH – August 27th
I told my pastor during worship, that I received a Word
about labor and delivery but would leave it up to him
when he thought it might be appropriate to share. I
told him that this day (Sat Aug 27) marked the day when
we were moving out of the labor and into the delivery
room. The next night, Sunday 28th, he came
to me and I went forward and shared it. This is what I
shared:
There are many individuals, as well as corporately, who
have been laboring hard particularly this year, to birth
a promise, an idea, or a vision. During the transition
process, the cervix becomes dilated from 8 to 10. The
number 8 represents a new beginning. This is the time
when you might see the baby’s head. This speaks of the
moment of revelation when you may suddenly realize, “Oh
THAT is what the Lord meant.” You see a fuller
revelation of His promise or idea, which was once just a
seed. When in the labor between the contractions, it is
important to take the times of rest to REST. Remove
yourself from your labor and take time out away with the
Lord.
When transition is over, it is time to move into the
delivery room. The delivery room is a also a pun for
the word deliverance. The scripture for this is:
Col 1:12-13 AMP
Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made
us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of
the saints (God's holy people) in the Light. [The
Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the
control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred
us into the kingdom of the Son of His love…”
There are some of you parents who have labored long and
hard for your promises; your inheritance will be
delivered unto you. There are others in the womb of a
dark place, where it is very tight and constrained, with
circumstances propelling you through a narrow place.
You will be delivered. Also, there are some who are
laboring to deliver loved ones who are in this dark and
tight place.
In order to be delivered, you must be willing to move
into the delivery room. You must MOVE. This a time,
that though the forces of hell come against you, though
they be g-forces, if you will, it is a time to push and
say no to forces of witchcraft, stubborn mind-sets of
men or religious spirits who can keep your promise or
vision from coming to pass. It is a time to push and
bear down until you are delivered. You will have three
pushes. Right now, the Word of the Lord is YOU MUST BE
WILLING TO MOVE.

I had a strong emphasis upon the word, YOU MUST BE
WILLING TO MOVE. I still did not know about Katrina.
In hindsight, it is interesting that the city New
Orleans is named NEW Orleans.
I believe we saw the “head” of what is yet to come world
wide. The enemy is throwing the flood waters of
persecution after the righteous, and the Lord is
allowing judgments to purify the filth of sin and
depravity. (Rev 12:15; Mal 3:2,3)
The name Katrina means purity. Everyone is well aware
the city of New Orleans was a center for witchcraft and
sexual perversion. On national news the world saw the
portrayal of MOVING. The first mass before the storm,
and the second mass after the storm. It is time to MOVE
for your deliverance. Beloved ones, it is time to MOVE.
Now in hindsight and praying what I am supposed to do
with this Word, I feel that this season up through
December of this year is not going to be an easy one.
We need to press through in prayer that nothing steal
our promises or vision. If we are in physical danger,
we need to heed the warnings to MOVE to safety. If we
are needing strong deliverance from the demonic, we need
to MOVE to find deliverance. Above all if we are
disobeying our conscience we need to MOVE in rapid
confession and repentance and gain the help to change
positions, ASAP. If we are in any kind of danger at
all, we need to MOVE and not hesitate. There is a
window of time for moving into His deliverance if we do
not hesitate when the rooster crows.
Beloved, the week before I received this Word, the Lord
sent me 3 “rooster Words.” I prayed and prayed because
I have never had rooster rhema before. This was a very
significant sign to me and I felt at the time the Lord
was telling me He was sending a wakeup call to His
people. It is time to wakeup, understand sin,
understand our position as the salt and preservation of
the earth, and MOVE into place. One of those roosters
had tennis shoes on. This is a time of speedy urgency.
One of the roosters walked right up to me on a
neighborhood street. This is a time of personal face to
face wakeup calls. One of the roosters was about 4
stories tall. This is a time when His sign will be
raised up for the earth to see.
Beloved, walk in the fear of the Lord. Walk in peace
that you are pleasing Him. Walk circumspectly, ready
and willing to move upon His command, at any given
moment. If you fear the Lord, you will walk in His
peace. Abba I pray that You will grant ears to heed
Your warnings, for the safety and deliverance of loved
ones. Let us be instant in and out of season, and ready
at a moment’s notice to run in Your favor and find the
deliverance You have prepared for us. In Jesus Name.
I will end this with the repeat Word to Ponder the Lord
gave me before Katrina Hit and before I knew of the
hurricane at all:
