HOW MAY I HELP YOU?

[A Revelation About the Holy Spirit]

Many times this past year I have heard the phrase, "How may I help you?" At first I wondered if there was something that I wasn’t doing that needed to be done. I wondered if I needed to pray more. Then I began to hear the phrase more often and I wondered if I was hearing the angels ask me this question, because angels are sent to serve us as heirs of His kingdom.

This week I heard the simple phrase again during the night. "How may I help you?" The flash of the following scripture came to mind. It was the Holy Spirit that had been asking me that!

John 14:16-18 NKJV

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever -- the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

I was reduced to tears. The powerful Lord God of the universe had humbled Himself so much, as to come in the form of the tiny, still small voice and ask a simple handmaiden a simple question. I went to bed with a heart full and no answer. I was overcome and deeply humbled. With all His power in the world, all I could think of was the humble heart of a Servant asking me this question.

AUDIBLE VOICE [2/17/04]

A few hours later, in the early hours after midnight, from the vicinity of the foot of my bed, I heard the very cheerful, audible voice of a Man who said, "Good Morning!" I could not see Him, but I knew He was the Holy Spirit. Then in His still small voice He spoke to me. Here is an excerpt of what I heard Him say:

HEARD: I AM a Person. Just like you, with feelings. This is where I belong.

VISION: I saw an identical picture of what I was literally doing. I was laying on my side, with my head on my pillow, and my hand resting upon my cheek.

HEARD: Pillow talk. Resting beside you. Where I belong. On that side too.

[I laughed out loud! I had just turned over on my other side in bed with my hand in the same exact position! How precious He is!]

HEARD: Inside of you. I wait every day. To commune.

Acts 7:49 AMP

Heaven [is] My throne, and earth the footstool for My feet. What [kind of] house can you build for Me, says the Lord, or what is the place in which I can rest?

John 14:23 AMP

Jesus answered, If a person [really] loves Me, he will keep My word [obey My teaching]; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.

CONFIRMATIONS

Right after that night I received 2 emails. One lady said, "Can I help you in some way?" The very next day another wrote and said, "Is there anything I can do to help? What are your needs?" With the same beautiful and humble hearts as the Holy Spirit, this was the Voice of My Lord speaking to me. Once again I was overcome and wordless at the heart of this King Who is a Servant.

John 13:3-9 NLT

Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel he had around him. When he came to Simon Peter, Peter said to him, "Lord, why are you going to wash my feet?" Jesus replied, "You don't understand now why I am doing it; someday you will." "No," Peter protested, "you will never wash my feet!" Jesus replied, "But if I don't wash you, you won't belong to me." Simon Peter exclaimed, "Then wash my hands and head as well, Lord, not just my feet!"

WORD TO PONDER: COMMUNION

My love, how I long for our fellowship and communion! I so long for when you will awaken to My voice. I earnestly wait for our quiet times when all distractions are set aside. I love to bring you good cheer and speak My Words to comfort you and put strength into your being.

Your first training ground to hear My voice has been at night time when the distractions of the day are forgotten. I live within you and also along side of you as you toss and turn in your bed. PEACE. I AM there, dear one! I AM making my resting place within you and along side of you. A day is fast approaching when you will be at such rest in Me that you will be able to hear My still small voice even during the busiest of days. All shall grow out of our intimate times of communion.

John 16:7-15 NKJ

"Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.
