HIS CATAPULT - Need A Lift?

9/27/00

Hi Loved Ones,

In 1995 I had a vision of a catapult and I heard the Lord say that He was going to hurl me forward through time and space. That same week my son drew a picture of a battle scene where there were warriors fighting in the sky and on the ground. One of the warriors was being hurled through the air by a catapult. I was quite amazed as I looked at the various parts of the picture and realized how it identified with my life. The catapult certainly caught my interest as well as what the Lord had said but I was not sure exactly what it meant. Now I have more understanding.

There are many of us who have been in a long battle. In one way or another, most have become wounded in the fight. (These wounds are nothing to be ashamed of, for in the heavenlies they are like hero badges or medals of honor. As we rise again, and the Lord heals these wounds, they will become healing ground for others in the same place.) Some of the wounded have found themselves placed in situations that would best be called predicaments. It’s called being stuck; unable to move forward, unable to move backward. And instead of the offensive stand against the enemy, their battle cry has become, "HELP GOD!" They have been stuck in this wounded place for a long time. They have wrestled and fought against the enemy, against their own pain and circumstance, and still not found a way out. It is in this place He prepares the catapult.

David prayed, "Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me." (Ps 59:1) That word deliver in the Hebrew (natsal) means to ‘snatch away’. [Strong’s #5337]

Paul said, "But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!" (2 Tim 4:17-18 NKJV) In this scripture, the Greek word for deliver (rhoumai) means to rush like a strong current of water, or draw out and rescue. [Strong’s # 4506]

My last post spoke about a coming change and also a changing of the guards. There are many aspects of change that will work its way down through the body of Christ and into our personal lives. One of these changes will be deliverance. There are two kinds of deliverance. One is where our enemies are driven from us. The other is where we are snatched from them. We will see both kinds of deliverance in the days to come. However this post is about the latter.

If you find yourself stuck in a place and you are unable to find your way out, this is not a time to let go or give up in despair. Rather it is a time to seek His face, pray, cry out, press in and call upon the Lord like never before. A key buzz word that I am hearing a lot lately is, "Desperate." It is a time to ask, seek and knock until He answers. It is a time to press in. Some have become so used to waiting, and praying haphazardly from time to time, that they do not realize that the Lord is already making plans to snatch them out of "prison." And when they are snatched, they may be very surprised where they land…

Without our knowing it, expectation, preconceived ideas and presumption can sometimes keep us in "prison" and from receiving God’s best. We have preconceived ideas of what the Lord is wanting to do for us, and therefore it keeps us from actually receiving what He is wanting us to step into. That is why He sometimes brings us to desperate places, so that we are willing to receive what He wants. He wants to give us good gifts but sometimes we become our own worst enemy and unintentionally resist Him.

The following is a precious story sent to me via email. It’s one of those perfect quickened Words that the Lord fills with life. ("It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." John 6:63 KJV)

"Kitten From Heaven"

A pastor had a kitten that climbed up a tree in his backyard and then was afraid to come down. The pastor coaxed, offered warm milk, etc. The kitty would not come down. The tree was not sturdy enough to climb, so the pastor decided that if he tied a rope to his car and drove away so that the tree bent down, he could then reach up and get the kitten. He did all this, checking his progress in the car frequently, then figured if he went just a little bit further, the tree would be bent sufficiently for him to reach the kitten. But as he moved a little further forward ... the rope broke.

The tree went "boing!" and the kitten instantly sailed through the air-out of sight. The pastor felt terrible. He walked all over the neighborhood asking people if they'd seen a little kitten. Nobody had seen a stray kitten. So, he prayed, "Lord, I just commit this kitten to Your keeping," and went on about his business. A few days later he was at the grocery store, and met one of his church members. He happened to look into her shopping cart and was amazed to see cat food. Now this woman was a cat hater and everyone knew it, so he asked her, "Why are you buying cat food when you hate cats so much?" She replied, "You won't believe this," and told him how her little girl had been begging her for a cat, but she kept refusing. Then a few days before, the child had begged again, so the Mom finally told her little girl, "Well, if the Lord gives you a cat, I'll let you keep it." She told the pastor, "I watched my child go out in the yard, get on her knees, and ask the Lord for a cat. And really, Pastor, you won't believe this, but I saw it with my own eyes. A kitten suddenly came flying out of the blue sky, with its paws spread out, and landed right in front of her."

CATAPULTED UP AND OVER

RHEMA 1/7/06:  I think the following Word is the other end of the Word the Lord gave me the eve of the New Orleans flood.  I did not know about the evacuation or the flood/ hurricane until after it hit.  The eve before it was particularly strong upon me that we not hold back and stay in that complacent comfort zone, but be willing to MOVE into our deliverance.

 http://www.thequickenedword.com/katrina.html

There were many applications to this, but the scripture that the Lord gave me that night was:

Col 1:12-13 KJV
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.

I feel strongly that we are now being hurled into that new place as we let go of reluctance and hesitation.  Usually when the Lord talks to me, it is in parts and pieces.  Often when I put the pieces together, they form a Word, or Word picture puzzle.  Such was the case in our Sat PM pre-service prayer time.  The following is the sequence of events.

 PRE-SERVICE PRAYER:

HEARD:  {As we were praying over pastor}  The cream of the crop.

(Cream separates and rises to the surface.  It was imparted to me that the Lord was sending His cream of the crop.)

PIX:  Later as pastor was praying, he said the phrase, “Thank You Lord for translating us from the kingdom of darkness into the light.”  I saw the action of being catapulted, or flung up and out of the darkness into a new place.

Col 1:13-14 NKJV
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Col 1:13  AMP
[The Father] has delivered and  drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love…

TRANSLATED

methistemi

NT:3179 methistemi (meth-is'-tay-mee); or (1 Cor 13:2) methistano (meth-is-tan'-o); from NT:3326 and NT:2476; to transfer, i.e. carry away, depose or (figuratively) exchange, seduce:

KJV - put out, remove, translate, turn away.

HEARD:  Dare to dream big.

IMPRESSION:  I was thinking about there are 2 kinds of faith.  Each man has been given a measure of faith and that grows line upon line, as we hear and receive His Words and are confirmed.  The other kind of faith is the gift of faith and it can come upon us as in a visitation, for special thrusting times of proclamation, or moving from one place to another.  The gift of faith can also descend like a mantle and operate in people’s lives who walk in power prayer or power proclamation and or deliverance.  It was imparted to me as I was thinking about this, that the catapult was the gift of faith, separating from the darkness and rising over the circumstances.

CONFIRMATION:  After prayer, one of the intercessors shared that the Lord wanted to bless us if we could receive it through faith.

CONFIRMATION:  Another intercessor prayed that there would be a launching pad put into position.  I felt a launching pad can be just like a catapult.

BLOOPER:  Then pastor was pacing back and forth praying again, and his shoe snagged the carpet and he did a little skip to overcome that and not fall.

PIX:  I immediately saw a hopscotch and an open door at the end of the hopscotch grid.

SONG OF THE LORD:  Then I began singing a prayer about One, two, three, four, skip and hop through that door.  The door is open, the door is set, don’t be worried, and please don’t fret.  Simply hop and skip right through that door.  I have good things planned galore.

HEARD:  Jabez

1 Chron 4:9-10 NKJV
Now Jabez  was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez , saying, "Because I bore him in pain." And Jabez  called on the God of Israel saying, "Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!" So God granted him what he requested.

HEARD:  As I was praying over this Word on the way home, I heard, “Reluctance.  Bold faith.”  So I yielded all reluctance, any hesitation and bound any demonic influence of that in my own life.  I repented for holding back on Him with reluctance and loosed bold faith to replace all reluctance in Jesus Name.

HEARD 1/10/06:  The gift of faith.  Launch pad.

WORD TO PONDER:  CATAPULTING YOU INTO ENLARGEMENT  1/07/06

Yes, dear one, you have suffered pain in your birthing, but I have heard your prayer that you want to be blessed and be a blessing and be kept from pain and evil as you move into new places.

There are times when you walk forward taking careful steps of faith, as I carefully build confirmations and you find your way.  There are times when you need a strong helping hand to jettison you past the impediments.  Wonderful plans I have for you, as you spring forth into enlarged territories.  I AM catapulting you up and over the places that have held you in confinement.  I will uphold you as you overcome the stumbling stones so that you not fall.

Dare to dream big.  Give all reluctance to Me.  Don’t let what you see around you become your boundaries and limits.  Instead see the wide expanse in the distance.  Expect Me to visit you and translate you up and out of what impedes you so that it will forever be behind you. As you prepare your heart for those special times of visitation, when I catapult your faith into a higher place, you will be prepared and willing.  Then with glee, you will participate with My genuine joy as I hurl you right up over the top into climax and fruition of My Word.  Go for it, dear one, and all heaven shouts with you!

Col 1:13-14 NKJV
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
