RHEMA 4/28/11  ARE WE WALKING IN THE SPIRIT OF GOD OR IN OUR FLESH?

HEARD:  The language difference.  Five.  Simply put, My grace covers all. It's Who I AM. 

PIX:  I saw someone lying on a couch who was really tired.  His name was Messed Up.

HEARD:  In the distance, Mess Up slumbers.

1 Thess 5:1-10 NKJV

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

RHEMA 1/13/04  ENOUGH

HEARD:  You’ve got to be kidding me.  Are you sure?  It’s enough says the Lord.  One more thing.  What’s the way out of this mess?  That’s an easy question. 

WORD TO PONDER:  ONE WAY OUT  1/13/04

There is one way out of a mess.  Trust and obey.

Josh 5:6 NLT

The Israelites wandered in the wilderness for forty years until all the men who were old enough to bear arms when they left Egypt had died. For they had disobeyed the LORD, and the LORD vowed he would not let them enter the land he had sworn to give us--a land flowing with milk and honey.

Gal 5:6

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails {2480} anything, but faith working {1780} through love.

energeo (en-erg-eh'-o); from NT:1756; to be active, efficient:

KJV - do, (be) effectual (fervent), be mighty in, shew forthself, work (effectually in).

WORD TO PONDER:  WALKING IN THE SPIRIT OR THE FLESH?

I AM bringing you into full maturity where you are learning how to walk in My Spirit and not in your flesh.  I want your life free and liberated and enslaved to nothing.  This requires your dying to the passions in your human heart and body.  Refuse and turn your back on aligning with sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like biting and devouring one another with your mouth.  Participation in such will cause your life to be messed up and you will fall into spiritual slumber.

Ask Me for the fullness of the fruits of My Spirit to reign in your life and heart.  As you walk in loving service with love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, you will find the freedom to overcome forbidden longings.  As you trust in Me and not in your flesh, I will live My life through you.  The key to having supernatural force, might and prevailing strength to overcome all flesh is your faith in Me, activated through love.  Ask Me for grace, beloved one, for I give My grace liberally to help you overcome all.
