Maturity And Stripping The Layers Of The Flesh

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.  Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

PIX:  I saw my skinny arm, the way it used to be before prednisone weight gain.  I have been praying to have my old skinny arms back again!

WORD TO PONDER: MATURITY IS LAYING DOWN THE ARM OF FLESH 8/04/10

Precious ones, I AM hearing the cries for the final day outpouring of My power to rain upon the earth. I hear your pleadings and groan with you. One thing yet lacks and that is your meekness. Sons of Jacob, lay down your arm of flesh. Again I say, "Lay down your arm of flesh."

When I was pleading in the garden, I was given the power and the authority to call for 12 legions of angels to deliver Myself from the throngs of demons raging towards one garden in the earth. When I hung upon the cross, I had the power to deliver Myself and slay every foul thing that hurled in the darkest hour. When My flesh screamed and My heart was broken, even with one thought I could have lifted Myself a million miles away. And yet, I did not. I stayed My mouth against self defense; I did no violence. Independence was not in Me. Instead, I used the power and the authority My Father gave Me to please Him and fulfill His good pleasure. I gave My life, powerfully yielded because of love.

But Jesus said to him, "Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?"

WORD TO PONDER:  MATURITY:  STRIPPING THE LAYERS OF FLESH  12/22/10

As the days and years have passed, I have been stripping away the layers of flesh from My beloved sons.  No more arm of the flesh, says the Lord.  As you yield your own strength, I will replace it with My own.  It is not through your physical or emotional force, or through any other resource that I will build My kingdom.  It is not your wealth, not your virtue or valor or strength; it is not your ability, fruits or substance.  The fullness of Myself within My beloved sons will only come through My Spirit.  And I AM teaching them this truth, day by day and year by year.  Soon, very soon, I will arise in My Spirit and manifest My fullness within them, within these yielded sacrifices who have spent all for the pearl of great price.

Zech 4:6-7 NKJV

So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the Lord of hosts.  Who are you, O great mountain?
