THE ANTS AND THE VITAMINS  4/15/09

PRECIOUS PARABLE:  Yesterday I posted a Word about listening to the ants who gather their supplies in the summer, in preparation for winter.

Prov 30:24-25 NKJV

There are four things which are little on the earth, but they are exceedingly wise:   The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their food in the summer.

Then this morning I woke up and there were flying ants in my bathroom and Wayne’s bathroom.  Every year the flying ants migrate in the wind in attempts to find new homes and occasionally we will get one or two in the house.  But this was the first time we were really invaded.  We did not know if it was a divine sign related to the Word, or a demonic attempt to torment, but both of us felt it was definitely spiritual since we had never had this happen before in the 33 years we have lived here. 

We sprayed around the bathroom windows, outside the house, and in the bathrooms.  I took the portable vacuum and vacuumed them up and then Wayne said he had to change the vacuum bag, else the live ants would crawl right back out and go to another area in the house.  Later when I went to the dining table to pack my vitamins into their little monthly containers, I noticed the portable vacuum was sitting on top of the table right next to my vitamins.  It “bugged” me that ants might crawl out and get all over them.  I did not know that the contaminated bag was outside in trash and the vacuum was on the table because we were out of bags.  I was grossed out and asked Wayne about it.

Then I went to sit in my chair and felt led to grab my Walk With Me book and turn with anointed hands.  I was SO blessed by what I turned to.  Only God can reach us with such precious Words!

AH:  FROM THE WORD SEALED AND PROTECTED

I'm not sure how this fits in, but when I saw the title "sealed and protected" I had to share it because it fits.

My daughter (who is 2 1/2) handed me a round cover to a vitamin that I take -- the piece that you take off the top so you know that no one has tampered with the bottle before you take what's in it. She said, "Jesus, Mommy." I dismissed it as her giving me a piece of trash and put it down.

Later that day, she came up to me again and handed it to me and said, "Jesus, Mommy." I thought, why is she saying Jesus about this scrap of paper?

Then when I looked at what it had printed on it, over and over again, I knew. It said, "Sealed for your protection." Then I realized it was God's way of telling me that although I feel under attack, I've been sealed by the Holy Spirit and I'm under His protection -- and what He has deposited in me cannot be contaminated by my spiritual enemies!!

"In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise" (Eph. 1:13).
