STOPPED AT AN OPEN DOOR
For several days I have been pondering the vision where
I laid my head down upon the door handle of an open
door:

VISION: I had an emotional vision where I
laid my head down upon a door handle, of an open door.
I was so totally spent and exhausted, all I could do is
sob and rest my head on the handle of the door. I said,
“I am SO tired.” Then I felt the Lord’s hand laid upon
me and heard Him reassure me that He would minister to
me. I dont remember whether He said, restore, heal,
rise up, recover, strengthen... or what words, but I
remember I knew all of them as He had said them before.
It occurred to me that I was so deeply tired that even
though an open door was before me, I was unable to look
up and through the door for hope. Even though I had a
new place to step into, I had no zeal and had come to a
stopping place where I could not move another step
without the Lord’s help. As I pondered this, the Lord
sent me three applicable Words that I perceived were all
related to that vision.
1. A Divine Stopping Place
There will be a divine pause and stopping place between
our coming to an end of our past and walking into a new
place.
Wayne told me a story about Ruth Heflen:
She was sent to an Emperor to give a Word. She asked
him if he would like to receive it and he said yes. So
she closed her eyes and spoke a sentence. And then she
stopped. And then she spoke another sentence and then
stopped. This continued and she was flustered at this
because always before her prophetic words were quite
fluent. So she opened her eyes and evidently the
Emperor had signaled a person to write down what she
said, and so the Lord was giving her the Word
transcription speed!
This was really quickened to me that He only speaks
as fast as we can assimilate it or walk it out. We
dont need to know what it looks like way down the road,
if we cant get past the first step. The Lord
reminded me of the dream I had where pastor and I were
sharing a message one sentence at a time.
RHEMA 9/14/08 STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN
DREAM: I went to pastor and said I had a gift of
tongues to share. But instead he spoke one sentence of
tongues in the mike and then I spoke the English interp
of that sentence. And then we did the same back and
forth one sentence at a time. It was a very easy going
“Word” with spaces in between our voices with pausing
and thinking. The final sentence was “Stop, Look and
Listen.”
WORD TO PONDER: STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN 9/14/08
You have been asking Me to help you understand what I
have been speaking into your life. Yes clarity is your
gift of promotion, for as you are accountable with what
you know, then I give you more. I am desiring to answer
your prayers and train you in the gifts of
interpretation. As you learn to stop and pause when
things are quickened to you, I will open your eyes and
ears to see and hear My Word in plain sight around you.
I will bring My Word in many forms, many ways, through
many circumstances. Allow Me to teach you how to take
each Word and develop the fuller meanings. Take time to
chew and assimilate the pieces and together they will
make a good meal. As you are faithful to do this, I will
make My Word clear speech.
What is most important is to take your time, don’t rush
or be presumptuous when I speak. You are hearing Me
speak, but do not necessarily understand how I want it
applied. As you stop, look and listen, it will be a
safeguard from making mistakes, especially at crossroads
of opportunity.
Isa 32:2-4 NLT
He will shelter Israel from the storm and the wind. He
will refresh her as a river in the desert and as the
cool shadow of a large rock in a hot and weary land.
Then everyone who can see will be looking for God, and
those who can hear will listen to his voice. Even the
hotheads among them will be full of sense and
understanding. Those who stammer in uncertainty will
speak out plainly.
2. Two Options for Our Perspective

Dear Friends,
I was pondering what 2009 might bring when the Holy
Spirit broke into my thoughts with this phrase, "It is a
year of increase for some and decrease for others."
Immediately following these words, I had a vision in
which I saw Jesus looking out to the horizon. He handed
me a pair of binoculars. I put them to my eyes "right
way round" and was able to see clearly. Everything was
magnified just as one would expect with a functioning
pair of binoculars. Everything increased. Just after
this the Lord took the binoculars from me and turned
them "wrong way round". I put them back to my eyes and
everything in my vision became smaller, decreased and
what was near seemed even further away than when viewed
with the naked eye. The Lord looked at me as if
pre-empting my next question and said, "Whether you
experience increase or decrease will depend on your
focus."

When I read Catherine’s Word in regards to my vision, it
was immediately imparted to me that I could not look
through the open door, because my perspective was on the
fact that I was going through a very hard time. When
looking at my life through those eyes, there was no
place out. I had only to look up through the door of
the future to see that the Lord has provided me a way
out and that way out was HOPE in His goodness, and His
delivering power.
3. If You Dont Obey
The third Word that the Lord quickened to me in regards
to my vision was very simple rhema where I asked the
Lord a question:

WORD TO PONDER: SPENT TO REFLECT 12/31/08
The time is so short and I love My own so passionately
that I AM bringing them full circle to the end of their
strivings. Yes you have arrived thoroughly spent.
Sweet one, take this opportunity to pause, listen and
ponder. There are some very valuable lessons you have
learned to have arrived here.
Yes where you did not obey, you received My discipline.
However refrain from looking at your future through your
failures. Instead accept My correction in your life and
move on with the understanding I have loved you with an
everlasting love and I AM your Good heavenly Father Who
has delivered you from death and destruction in your
nature.
I have given you a good future and hope and it is set
before you in an open door. You dont need to knock,
push, press through, or strive for it to open. It is
already open dear one. Simply pause and reflect on what
I have taught you so that the changes made will be
lasting ... then at last, the past has passed. Lift up
your eyes and advance when I give you grace to do so.
You are not alone and you are highly favored as My
beloved child.

forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to

For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every

THE GREAT DOOR OF HOPE 8/07/11
HEARD:
We back into a corner and we wait. We have nowhere to
go except to look up. Exactly.
HEARD:
Despondent. Lectures of the storm. I am keeping you,
do not be afraid. Future. My ways are not your ways.

"For My thoughts are not your
thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. 9
"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My
ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your
thoughts. 10 "For as the rain comes down, and the snow
from heaven, And do not return there, But water the
earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give
seed to the sower And bread to the eater, 11 So shall My
word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not
return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I
please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I
sent it.
THE MEASURING WEIGHTS OF LOVE

There are seasons when I have
raised you with tough love as well as raised you with
comforting love. At this point, there is a balancing
scale in My hands, and I AM weighing issues I have
spoken about to you for years. Precious, I love you. I
want you to walk in freedom. I want you to walk in
power and grace. I know how deeply your soul hurts when
you don't measure up because of making deliberate
choices that take you into captivity. I love you and it
hurts Me when you are hurting.
I don’t want you wallowing in self
pity. I don’t want you burning with shame. I don’t
want you wincing in condemnation. I want you to grow up
and mature the child inside of you that runs from
obedience and turns to the world for escape. This
balance scale is weighing heavily on My heart. The hand
that holds these scales of tough love and comforting
love is called Grace. I offer you My abiding grace, but
I AM asking you only one question. I need you to be
WILLING. That is all. Pick yourself up, dust yourself
off, and be willing to listen to Me and obey. I will
help you face these things, but you must be willing to
do your part. We will partner together and face this
mountain. How can two walk together unless they agree?

in a spirit of gentleness?

Now give me the sense to follow your commands. May all
who fear you find in me a cause for joy, for I have put
my hope in your word. I know, O LORD, that your
decisions are fair; you disciplined me because I needed

promised me, your servant. Surround me with your tender
mercies so I may live,
for your law is my delight.

Can two walk together, unless
they are agreed?
vision:
I saw Wayne come to me and hand me a cup. He said,,
"Here I want you to try this.
Hope."
I understood he was handing me the
cup of Hope.
HEARD:
Waiting, it's grueling sometimes. But when you see Me
it will be worth it all. Be expectant.
THE GREAT DOOR OF HOPE 9/5/91
I have brought My people to a
door. A door of promise, a door of destiny. Many have
approached this door before, with seeds of promise, only
to look at it, and see the insurmountable walls. They
were given the instructions at Jericho; the time waiting
was much more than the time moving. Years of waiting
have passed, and the moving has been in circles. But
this has not been without purpose.
I have gone before you and set up
your place. Indeed, you have circled long enough. Once
again, you stand before the door and look at
insurmountable odds. But I say unto you, the hour is
due. At My command, these walls shall fall, and every
man shall enter straight before him. I go before you
shouting “Grace.” These walls shall fall and you shall
be astonished at MY mighty hand on your behalf.
There are many who have been so
sifted by the plow, and blackened by the fire, that they
have lost sight of this door of promise, this great door
of Hope. They have been turned inside out, and
backwards; some are even upside down. But I have been
turning the perspective so they may see My view. I AM
facing them forward, securing feet in front of the door.
Have no fear if you cannot see the
door of promise. Your eyes may still be burning from
the smoke. Trust Me to turn you in perfect direction.
Have hopeful expectation of what I shall do. For when
it opens, it shall open suddenly, and the Light from the
other side will be so bright, there will be no questions
as to your direction.
I give good gifts to My people.
Pick up those hopes lost from yesterday, and dare to
believe, this time from MY perspective. Even as the
door stands before you, I stand on the other side. When
I open the door, you will not walk alone. We will
occupy together.
“I know thy works behold I have
set before thee an open door and no man can shut it...”
(Revelation 3:8)
