REST STOP!  5/24/11

It is quickened to me lately, how many times I had told the Lord how "tired" I am.

PARABLE AND WORD PUN:  Today I drove out of town for a quick trip to visit family.   As I was driving on the freeway, I saw a man's head bopping up and down above the bushes. It was such a strange thing to see. Then as I got closer, I saw that he looked to be running in place. Finally as I drove by him, I saw that he had his car door open and he was jumping rope right there. I began to laugh because one of the ways God speaks is through Word puns...

Here he stopped at a REST STOP and the moment he got out of the car, he started exercising. That is me in the spirit and in writing! I told the Lord, "OK I get it!"

Matt 11:28-30
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

Luke 10:41-42 NKJV

And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.  But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."

Gal 6:9-10

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
