REPENT FOR SPEAKING AGAINST GOD’S ANOINTED 9/04/09
Today it was quickened to me that as a people, we need
to repent for speaking against God’s anointed because
this has grieved the Holy Spirit. I have been
perceiving there is spirit of despising that is coming
against God’s prophets.
1 Chron 15:29 NKJV
And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of the
LORD came to the City of David, that Michal, Saul's
daughter, looked through a window and saw King David
whirling and playing music; and she despised him in her
heart.
Titus 2:15 AMP
Tell {them all} these things. Urge (advise,
encourage, warn) and rebuke with full authority. Let no
one despise or disregard or think little of you {conduct
yourself and your teaching so as to command respect}.
People have been stumbling over the mixture of soul
problems within God’s anointed ones. People have wanted
a clear standard and things to be easy to discern like
black or white. But there has been a mixture of grey in
our leaders and people have been wrestling over this.
We are told not to quench the Spirit and one of the ways
we do that is to despise prophesies. We are told to
test the prophesies but this does not mean we are
critical of the person who is prophesying.
1 Thess 5:19-21 NKJV
Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies.
Test all things; hold fast what is good.
2 Chron 36:15-16 NLT
The LORD, the God of their ancestors, repeatedly sent
his prophets to warn them, for he had compassion on his
people and his Temple. 16 But the people mocked these
messengers of God and despised their words. They scoffed
at the prophets until the LORD's anger could no longer
be restrained and there was no remedy.
We also need to be very careful because when they said
that Jesus was casting out a demon by the power of the
devil, Jesus said this was blasphemy of the Holy Spirit
and would not be forgiven.
DO NOT BLASPHEME THE HOLY SPIRIT 11/6/01
Do not be without understanding. There will come a day
when I will transplant you and move you on into a refuge
and a new dwelling place. I will not tolerate the
assassination of the character of My anointed ones, and
if others blaspheme My Spirit and anointing within them,
then I shall move My anointed ones out and away from the
fellowship of those who would cast stones.
Matt 12:31-32 NKJV
"Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will
be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit
will not be forgiven men. 32 Anyone who speaks a word
against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but
whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be
forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.
1 Chron 16:21-22 NKJV
He permitted no man to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked
kings for their sakes, Saying, "Do not touch My
anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.
PRAYER: Lord please forgive us for speaking
wrongly against Your anointed messengers. We have
fallen with disappointment due to their souls not lining
up with Your character. We have not meant to
spiritually assassinate them with criticism, or speak
against them. We have searched for a real Shepherd and
faced disappointment. Lord, Who we really want is You.
We humbly ask Your forgiveness for not earnestly praying
over these disappointments and places where we have
stumbled.
Please forgive us for quenching Your Spirit within them,
due to our unbelief and lack of reception to their
message. We ask that You will open our eyes and turn
our hard hearts to receive Your message through all Your
chosen messengers. Neither do we want to blaspheme the
Holy Spirit by saying Your messengers are operating with
the devil’s power. We do not want to partner with such
sin in Jesus Name.
Isa 63:17 NKJV
O LORD, why have You made us stray from Your ways,
and hardened our heart from Your fear?
Matt 13:14-15 NKJV
And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled,
which says: 'Hearing you will hear and shall not
understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive;
For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their
ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have
closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear
with their ears, lest they should understand with their
hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.' |
