REDEEMED WITHIN BROKENNESS 10/08/11

VISION: I saw the most stunningly beautiful shiny turquoise, aquamarine colored stone with thick veins of sparkling silver running through it. It was a large polished building stone about 12 inches across, like a marble floor tile. The veins of silver were about 1/4 inch wide and very rich looking.

Isa 54:11-17 NIV

"O afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted, I will build you with stones of turquoise, your foundations with sapphires. 12 I will make your battlements of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones. 13 All your sons will be taught by the LORD, and great will be your children's peace. 14 In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you. 15 If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing; whoever attacks you will surrender to you.

"See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to work havoc; 17 no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD.

UPDATE HEARD 10/29/11: As I was pondering this stone, I heard Building stone.

QUICKENED REMEMBRANCE 10/27/11: A friend shared the following Word with me:

"And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Almost nobody is broken by choice, but if we love Jesus and really really want to have an intimate relationship with him, we will be broken one way or the other."

Luke 20:13-18 NKJV

"Then the owner of the vineyard said, 'What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. Probably they will respect him when they see him.' 14 But when the vinedressers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.' 15 So they cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. Therefore what will the owner of the vineyard do to them? 16 He will come and destroy those vinedressers and give the vineyard to others." And when they heard it they said, "Certainly not!" 17 Then He looked at them and said, "What then is this that is written: 'The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone'? 18 Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder."

The rich veins of silver is the color of redemption, being bought with a price. It also represents being refined.

Ps 66:10 NKJV

For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined.

Ps 12:6 NKJV

The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times.

THE BREASTPLATE STONES AND TRIBES

QUICKENED REMEMBRANCE: I remembered that turquoise was one of the colors in the priests breastplate, which represented one of the tribes. I was wondering what the tribe name was because it was quickened to me as from the Lord.

TRIBE STONES: In my research in the Bible programs and also the www, no one agrees on the stones for various reasons. So I chose the following descriptions of the stones from Nelson's Illustrated Bible Dictionary, Copyright © 1986, Thomas Nelson Publishers.

Then I found the stone samples on the www based upon Nelson's descriptions since they did not have photos. I am certainly not trying to be an expert, I simply want a point of reference that makes sense to me and is quickened when I see colors, especially of stones. When the 3rd temple is rebuilt and they choose the breastplate stones, I will change these if I am still around!

The definitions of the names of the tribes came from International Standard Bible Encyclopaedia.

Ex 39:8-15

And he made the breastplate, artistically woven like the workmanship of the ephod, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine woven linen. 9 They made the breastplate square by doubling it; a span was its length and a span its width when doubled. 10 And they set in it four rows of stones: a row with a sardius, a topaz, and an emerald was the first row; 11 the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond; 12 the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; 13 the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in settings of gold in their mountings. 14 There were twelve stones according to the names of the sons of Israel: according to their names, engraved like a signet, each one with its own name according to the twelve tribes.

WORD TO PONDER: REDEEMED WITHIN BROKENNESS 10/08/11

Dear beloveds of the Lord, you who have gone through great persecution, being tried as silver is tried and purified... You have been greatly afflicted, lashed by the storms and not found the comfort of being established. I have redeemed you through the fire. I AM building beautiful foundations through your praise to the Lion of Judah. He shall roar against tyranny coming against your soul and you will have nothing to fear. Terror and intimidation will be removed and ground to powder before you. I shall build you a sparkling house where you and your children shall dwell in peace.

Always build upon the foundation of Jesus Christ, with gold, silver and precious stones. In so doing, it will stand through the fire of testings and you shall receive your reward.
