PROPHETIC GESTURES

One of the most unusual ways the Lord speaks to me is through pantomime gestures. They are like signs that display His Word. I have received these “Words” in two ways. The first way is that they are totally involuntary and instinctual, in other words without thought or premeditated impulse. They are simply expressed through me through some gesture or action.

These involuntary movements first found their expression through me in intercession when I would be at prayer meetings and suddenly I would burst out with some unexpected movement. At first I really thought I had gone bonkers. But soon after I realized His anointing was so strong on me that I simply could not hold it back even if I tried.

The first confirmation I received of this was at a prayer meeting and suddenly I felt warrior expression through my arms and hands. They did whirling like karate movements up and down for a couple seconds. I had a strong urge inside that I was wrestling with some demonic spirit. As soon as I released this, one of our pastors said, “Thank you!” I had no idea why she said that. I was sitting right next to her when this happened. Evidently she had arrived at prayer meeting with a terrible migraine headache. The moment I released the movements it left and did not return. She was totally free! Of course this was His anointing within me. I wish I could do that through choice!!!

Ps 144:1 NKJV

Blessed be the LORD my Rock, Who trains my hands for war , And my fingers for battle -

2 Sam 22:33-35 NKJV

God is my strength and power, and He makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

I received more confirmations to these strange prophetic gestures through reading some of the visitations that people have had when under His Spirit. I have read where people have fallen under His power and are laying on the floor in a line with their eyes closed. Suddenly the line or several will all at once act something out as His Spirit is upon them. They are doing this in unison without even knowing it.

Gestures in Scripture

God used the OT prophets to live and act as signs to represent His Word to the people. He still uses the prophetic in the NT.  These prophetic signs make announcements to the spirit world.  Demons are literal and legal. They do not have any creative or  interpretive skills. They can only make a copy of something that  is already created, like a facsimile, but can not create something brand new. They do not understand the Words or mysteries of God until we place meaning upon them.

God gives prophetic signs an authority in the spirit realm. These signs, especially when mixed with faith and understanding carry powerful weapons to the spirit world, since they gain their  knowledge and understanding from us.

1 Cor 2:7-8 NLT

No, the wisdom we speak of is the secret wisdom of God, which was hidden in former times, though he made it for our benefit before the world began. 8 But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would never have crucified our glorious Lord.

Eph 3:9-11 NKJV

…to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; 10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.

Rom 4:17 NAS

…as it is written, “A father of many nations have I made you” in the sight of Him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist.

EXAMPLES

• Agabus

Acts 21:10-11 NLT

During our stay of several days, a man named Agabus, who also had the gift of prophecy, arrived from Judea. 11 When he visited us, he took Paul's belt and bound his own feet and hands with it. Then he said, “The Holy Spirit declares, `So shall the owner of this belt be bound by the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem and turned over to the Romans.' “

• Samuel & Saul

1 Sam 15:27-28 NLT

27 As Samuel turned to go, Saul grabbed at him to try to hold him back and tore his robe. 28 And Samuel said to him, “See? The LORD has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today and has given it to someone else-one who is better than you.

• Ahijah

1 Kings 11:30-31

Ahijah took the new cloak he was wearing and tore it into twelve pieces. 31 Then he said to Jeroboam, “Take ten of these pieces, for this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: `I am about to tear the kingdom from the hand of Solomon, and I will give ten of the tribes to you!

• Elisha

2 Kings 13:15-18

Elisha told him, “Get a bow and some arrows.” And the king did as he was told. 16 Then Elisha told the king of Israel to put his hand on the bow, and Elisha laid his own hands on the king's hands. 17 Then he commanded, “Open that eastern window,” and he opened it. Then he said, “Shoot!” So he did. Then Elisha proclaimed, “This is the LORD's arrow, full of victory over Aram, for you will completely conquer the Arameans at Aphek.

• Jeremiah

Jer 13:2-10

Then the LORD gave me another message: 4 “Take the linen belt you are wearing, and go to the Euphrates River. Hide it there in a hole in the rocks.” 5 So I went and hid it at the Euphrates as the LORD had instructed me. 6 A long time afterward, the LORD said to me, “Go back to the Euphrates and get the linen belt that I told you to hide there.” 7 So I went to the Euphrates and dug it out of the hole where I had hidden it. But now it was mildewed and  falling apart. The belt was useless. 8 Then I received this message from the LORD: 9 “The LORD says: This illustrates how I will rot away the pride of Judah and Jerusalem.

• Jeremiah

Jer 19:10-11

As these men watch, Jeremiah, smash the jar you brought with you. 11 Then say to them, 'This is what the LORD Almighty says: As this jar lies shattered, so I will shatter the people of Judah and Jerusalem beyond all hope of repair.

• Hosea

Hos 12:10

I sent my prophets to warn you with many visions and parables.”

• Isaiah

Isa 20:3-4

Then the LORD said, “My servant Isaiah has been walking around naked and barefoot for the last three years. This is a sign-a symbol of the terrible troubles I will bring upon Egypt and Ethiopia.

• Ezekiel

Ezek 5:1-4

Son of man, take a sharp sword and use it as a razor to shave your head and beard. Use a scale to weigh the hair into three equal parts. 2 Place a third of it at the center of your map of Jerusalem. After acting out the siege, burn it there. Scatter another third across your map and slash at it with a sword. Scatter the last third to the wind, for I will scatter my people with the sword. 3 Keep just a bit of the hair and tie it up in your robe. 4 Then take a few of these

hairs out and throw them into the fire, burning them up. A fire will then spread from this remnant and destroy all of Israel.

• Hosea

Hos 1:2

2 When the LORD first began speaking to Israel through Hosea, he said to him, “Go and marry a prostitute, so some of her children will be born to you from other men. This will illustrate the way my people have been untrue to me, openly committing adultery against the LORD by worshipping other gods.”
