HOW TO PREPARE FOR TIMES OF CRISIS

1)  MONEY ISSUES: Get out debt.  Stay out of debt.

People who are in debt are in danger of losing homes, bank accounts, cars and assets.  Scripture tells us to owe no many anything except love.  Sacrifice everything you can to get out of debt.  Anything outside of debt free is a gambling time bomb.

Rom 13:8-9

Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.

Prov 3:27-28

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so.  Do not say to your neighbor, "Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it," When you have it with you.

Rom 13:7

Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.

Get out of the stock market, it is a gamble.  Invest in coins: gold, silver, platinum, and land.  Keep some in a safe place in case banks fail, bank holidays or change in currency.

2)  STOCK PROVISIONS FOR 3.5 MONTHS

In times of crisis, if supply lines fail for a period of time, store shelves will be empty in a matter of hours. What you have stock piled in your home will be helpful and increase in value for yourself and others as the days move forward. Keep enough to share and also barter.  Stocking not only includes consumables, but also the Words of the Lord that you may draw upon.

Prov 6:6-11 AMP
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways and be wise! — [Job 12:7.] Which, having no chief, overseer, or ruler, Provides her food in the summer and gathers her supplies in the harvest. How long will you sleep, O sluggard? When will you arise out of your sleep? [Prov 24:33,34.] Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to lie down and sleep — So will your poverty come like a robber or one who travels [with slowly but surely approaching steps] and your want like an armed man [making you helpless]. [Prov 10:4; 13:4; 20:4.]

Proverbs 30:25 NKJV
The ants are a people not strong, Yet they prepare their food in the summer.

Proverbs 10:5 NKJV
He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.

Revelation 3:10 NKJV
Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

Proverbs 15:16 NKJV
Better is a little with the fear of the LORD, Than great treasure with trouble.

Luke 22:35-37

And He said to them, "When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?" So they said, "Nothing."   Then He said to them, "But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one.

3)  MOVE TO SAFETY AND COMMUNITY LIVING

There are people who the Lord has called to be intercessors to stand in the gap and actually live in a dangerous region.  There are people who are called to go into a dangerous region after times of crisis.  We need to follow the Lord's heart in regards to these things.   However the following is generic wisdom for what is coming.

Move out of large cities.  Move away from the east coast cities.  In a time of crisis, if people are hungry, it invites anarchy in the streets and gang stripping of homes.  East coast is also vulnerable to missile attacks and increased terrorism.  All large cities are vulnerable to terrorism.

Move away from west coast beaches due to earthquakes, tidal waves.  Move away from hurricane beach fronts in the south.  Move away from volcanoes and breaking dams.

Move where you can grow food and find water.

Ps 55:9-11

Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues, For I have seen violence and strife in the city.  Day and night they go around it on its walls; Iniquity and trouble are also in the midst of it.  Destruction is in its midst; Oppression and deceit do not depart from its streets.

If you wait until a crisis takes place, you will not be able to sell your home.

4)  CONSIDER NUCLEAR FALLOUT

If a nuclear power plant or fallout from a dirty bomb has damaged your area, let go and leave the area.  This is considerate of those who would be endangered in reaching you with supplies.

Matt 7:12

Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

If you stay with the crowds in a crisis, you may be put under marshal law.

5)  SEEK THE LORD INSTEAD OF THE WORLD

The best way to protect yourself from God's discipline is to align your lifestyle with Jesus Christ and the Word of God.  Re-read the gospels of Jesus Christ and Paul's writings to examine your life.  Are you living holy and dependant upon the Lord or the world?

Matt 6:31-34

"Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'  32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.  34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Eph 5:11-16

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.  12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14 Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light."  15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

HOLINESS VS CARNALITY

6)  REPENT FOR VOTING FOR SIN

Angels record how you vote and who you vote for.  Elections are not about money.  When you vote for a person to represent YOU, when they vote to support sin, you are too.

When you spend money on violent, sexual and filthy language movies, books, and entertainment you are voting to sustain and promote those things.  Every time you spend money for filthy entertainment, you are casting your vote.  Repent and change your mind, with the fear of the Lord.

ENTERTAINMENT:

James 4:1-10

Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? 2 You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. 4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously"? 6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."  7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Cable TV, the internet, the grocery stores and soon every kind of media are gathering information on what you choose.  When you purchase anything, it is being tabulated for advertisers as your vote.  When you stop watching carnal entertainment, it is not funded and will subsequently change to wholesome media.
