RHEMA 2/21/10  OPENING SPIRITUAL EARS

I have found this string of discussion from our QW Class amazing timing. Just about a week ago, someone I had been praying for was woken up twice hearing his Mom calling him.  When he got out of bed, she was sound asleep. I believe the Lord is saying He is waking our ears to hear His voice like never before.

When Samuel was hearing the Lord, he thought it was Eli.  The Lord was either using Eli’s voice or what Samuel perceived as Eli’s voice to wake him up enough to listen.

I believe these experiences all happening at once are strong confirmations that He is opening spiritual ears to hear His voice.

1 Sam 3:1-10  NKJV

Now the boy Samuel ministered to the LORD before Eli . And the word of the LORD was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation. 2 And it came to pass at that time, while Eli was lying down in his place, and when his eyes had begun to grow so dim that he could not see, 3 and before the lamp of God went out in the tabernacle of the LORD where the ark of God was, and while Samuel was lying down, 4 that the LORD called Samuel. And he answered, "Here I am!" 5 So he ran to Eli and said, "Here I am, for you called me." And he said, "I did not call; lie down again." And he went and lay down. 6 Then the LORD called yet again, "Samuel!  So Samuel arose and went to Eli , and said, "Here I am, for you called me." He answered, "I did not call, my son; lie down again." 7(Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, nor was the word of the LORD yet revealed to him.) 8 And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. So he arose and went to Eli , and said, "Here I am, for you did call me." Then Eli perceived that the LORD had called the boy. 9 Therefore Eli said to Samuel, "Go, lie down; and it shall be, if He calls you, that you must say,'Speak, LORD, for Your servant hears.'" So Samuel went and lay down in his place.  10 Now the LORD came and stood and called as at other times, "Samuel! Samuel!" And Samuel answered, "Speak, for Your servant hears."

PERSON ONE

This morning I was doing the laundry, I suddenly heard my husband call my name. He has just left the house to go play tennis a few minutes before, so I thought he forgot something and came back. When I checked he wasn't there. I took it as a sign that I should pray for him. Has this happened to any of you before?

PERSON TWO

I was wondering if I maybe heard it in my spirit, because it was very clear. I have had instances where I thought one of my kids called me, I heard 'Mom' but that wasn't as clear. One night I woke up because I heard a knock, then I realized it must have been in my spirit because the house was totally quiet and no one was knocking.

PERSON THREE

I heard my son call out to me while I was cleaning and I knew to pray because it was the sound of his voice when he was really young 4 or 5 yrs old. He was 19 at the time with a deeper voice.

PERSON FOUR

Yes, just last night I heard my sister call my name. She's in Florida. I woke up enough to pray for her.

PERSON FIVE

I had something unusual also. I was making the bed when my husband came back in the house after leaving for work. I heard him slam the back door, it was loud. I waited for a few seconds looking for him to show up at the bedroom door. When he did not I went into the kitchen looking for him - he wasn't there. Both the front door and back were locked. The door I heard slam can only be opened from the inside if locked and I could see the front door from the bed room I was in. (he didn't pass me) When I called his cell he informed me he had already reached his work and was walking into his office.
