RESURRECTED FEET  8/20/09

CONFIRMATION:  Minutes after formatting the following Word for the QW school, Wayne came in and told me the angels must have had fun last night when he threw his holey socks at the window.  I was quite amazed.  Here is the story:

The day before I had noticed the bottoms of Wayne’s feet when he was in his recliner.  I silently prayed, “Lord will You help my husband find some new socks?  These are totally worn out with holes!”  I have known in the past he has had a hard time finding the kind of socks he really likes.  Wayne did not know I had prayed about his socks.. 

So last night he had taken off his socks in bed and noticed all the holes.  He didnt want to sit up in order to throw them into the garbage, which was on the other side of his night stand.  One at a time, he threw each sock at the window.  He did not aim for the can at all.  The window is near the garbage can so this would at least remind him to throw the socks away in the morning instead of putting them into the laundry basket. 

When he saw his socks this morning, they were hanging over the garbage can and perfectly draped side by side, as though they had been precisely placed there on purpose.  The angels must have really smiled as they left him this surprise!

I was amazed when Wayne told me this because just minutes before, I had finished formatting the lesson for the QW School about interpreting details.  Here is a portion of that lesson! 

WHY DID JESUS FOLD HIS FACE NAPKIN BEFORE HE LEFT THE TOMB?

John 20:3-8 NKJV
So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. And he, stooping down and looking in, saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself.

Obviously Jesus folded the handkerchief totally on purpose and with intent.  Even though there are theories, we don’t know the answer to that question.  But what we do know is that it mattered to Peter, because he took note of it.  And it mattered to John because he remembered to write it down.  Jesus left them a sign in the simple detail of folding his face cloth.  And that is exactly how Jesus speaks to us today.  He leaves such beautiful details waiting for us to discover.  May the face of His loving details come into your life with His resurrection power!

WORD TO PONDER:  RESURRECTED FEET  8/20/09

Dearest heart, your journey has been long, you have spent yourself and are worn out!  I understand this and know you need new feet, new socks and new shoes.  I have every bit of your needs covered and all will be provided for. 

Smile beloved!  I can hardly wait to give you My surprise!!  Rest and wait, for in this third day I will raise you up to live in My sight.  You shall rise and walk in My resurrection power.  You will be amazed with joy as you partner with heaven as you go forth in My latter rain upon the earth.  GLORY!

Hos 6:1-3 NKJV
