RHEMA 5/23/12  UNDERSTANDING MORE ABOUT THE DISCIPLINE OF GOD

heard:  Fellowship.  My daughter.  Mercy and comfort.

PIX:  I saw a hand reach out and touch and give affection upon a dog’s head.

HEARD:  At the right moment.

REVELATION:  I had a download about the lack of wisdom in praising someone who is under the discipline of God.  He brought back a memory where I have wrongly done so.

THE DOG WHISPERER:  I have been learning a lot by watching the show The Dog Whisperer and how Caesar teaches how to rehabilitate dog’s behavior.  He teaches that we do not reward a dog with affection, loving touch, food, toys, or praise at the same time we are correcting bad behavior.  If the person gives affection during wrong behavior, it only affirms to the dog to continue to do the same.  It is very simple, cut and dry kind of treatment.  Correction or affection, but never at the same time.  Only after you get the desired result do you praise.

We have been in an era of grace where people and denominations have learned that God blinks at sin as though He doesn’t notice and so people continue the same, getting away with what they can get away with.  The era has changed now and the dividing line of God’s ways of discipline will become increasingly clear.  It is quite sobering, but also in His great love for us, very necessary.

Heb 12:9-13 NKJV

Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. 12 Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.

In times of correction, He withdraws from that intimate, tender place.  The Holy Spirit is very sensitive to being grieved and quenched.  The closer we come to Him, the more we understand when He withdraws even slightly.  This doesn’t mean He abandons us, or doesn’t love us, it means that He wants to give us a very clear message to understand the difference between right and wrong behavior.  He wants us to understand the areas where we are striving with Him and taking His grace for granted.

WHY IS THIS TYPE OF DISCIPLINE NECESSARY?

In the days to come there will be a dividing line between those who have gone on to taste the power of the ages to come.  They will have graduated their training courses of having been disciplined and gone through soul surgeries and they will have learned how important it is to be obedient to the Word of God.  They have learned more about God, the fact He is the same yesterday, today and forever and He does not change.  They will have learned the fear of the Lord.

On the other side of the dividing line will be those who do not experience this power and will feel left out.  This is not only a wake up call, but also a form of discipline based on His deep love.  For in the following scripture, it reveals WHY He keeps His people from having the power of the age to come, before they are prepared and ready for it.  If we refuse His Word and become hardened to heeding after having tasted of the powers of that age, we will not be able to repent.

Heb 6:4-6 NKJV

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

CONNECTING THOUGHTS:  In my deliverance book in teaching teams how to minister deliverance, there is a section were team unity is important so they understand the flow of the Holy Spirit.  There is a time to tear down and a time to build up.  If one member is dismantling a demonic place, it is not the time for another member to be building up the person.

“There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven. 2 A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. 3 A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to rebuild. 4 A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. 5 A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away. 6 A time to search and a time to lose. A time to keep and a time to throw away. 7 A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak up. 8 A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace.”   (Eccl 3:1-8 NLT)

QUOTES FROM MINISTERING DELIVERANCE

Learning to discern the time.

Deliverance is a time of tearing down a house of sin, it is not a time of building up.  The key to team deliverance is the ability to recognize the “timing” in what the Holy Spirit is doing and how He wants to go about it.

A TIME TO TEAR DOWN

Examples of tools that tear down:

Þ Brief counsel for forgiveness

Þ Time for confession or renunciation

Þ Warfare intercession via tongues, and the Spirit

Þ Authority taken against demons or curses

Þ Praying for the Lord to reveal layers and/or roots

Þ Scriptures declared against the demonic

Þ Warrior worship

A TIME TO BUILD

Examples of tools that build:

Þ Words of edification, exhortation and comfort

Þ Sharing scriptures

Þ Praying for healing

Þ Praying for wounds

Þ Soaking in His Presence

Þ Praying for the Holy Spirit to fill the holes

Þ Praying for the Lord to seal the deliverance

Þ Releasing a blessing over the person

Þ Scriptural declaration over the person

Þ Occurs usually after deliverance, or possibly before, but not during

Þ   If you have a gift that builds, wait for timing

The above wisdom on deliverance can also be applied in learning how to give prophetic Words where there is a clear difference between Words that build and Words that warn and correct.

WORD TO PONDER:  A CLEAR DIVIDING LINE OF MY APPROVAL  5/23/12

Dear hearts, heed My warnings to obey My Word and you will be greatly rewarded.  In the days to come I AM bringing My own into a new level of authority and power.  To a people without mixture, I will release My power without measure.  It is in My love that I withhold My power until you are ready, for to whom much is given, much is required.  The required level of accountability to walk in obedience to My Word and in holy choices will save your lives and your souls.  Walk worthy of your callings and My grace.

Become so sensitive to My Spirit that you will notice within seconds when I draw back.  Never allow your life to come to the place where I actually withdraw My hand, for that day is coming!  I want to train you with My eye precious ones.  Through a simple look, I want to show you My Word and have you align accordingly.  It grieves Me when I have to be more stern just to get your attention.  But because of My love, I will do whatever is necessary to draw you to Me.  Learn to listen to my lack of mercy and comfort just as you look for such, and let these be warnings for you to search out so that you do not miss out on the wonderful things I have in store for My own ones.

Mal 3:18-4:3 NKJV

Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.
