Lots'a Bread  12/5/02

I had been thinking about the famine of hearing God's Words and praying over it.

Amos 8:11-12 NKJV

"Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord GOD, "That I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD. They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, but shall not find it.”

QUICKENED SIGNS: Today as I was driving I suddenly remembered that I had prayed for the Lord to quicken His Words to me while I was out and about and bring me His food for the day. Exactly at that moment I looked straight into the sign that said, “Williams Bakery” and they bake bread. I was so tickled at that (manna) and then while I was still smiling my eyes fell on a passing truck on the freeway. It said, “Over size load.”

I love His humor and quickened Words that fit exactly my need.

He has reminded me of this scripture:

Ps 37:25 NKJV

I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.
