THE LIMITATIONS OF GOD

WORD OF WISDOM

The Limitations of God: God will not force us to love Him.  "He saved others, He could not save Himself." 

[Father, Jesus chose to love You and only do Your will.  Why did You require a blood sacrifice to redeem us, why not some other way?]

HEARD:  Because greater love has no man than this, that He lay His life down for His friends.

[As I pondered this I understood that the Father laid down what He loved the most:  His Son.]

John 3:16-17 NKJV

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Matt 27:41-43

Likewise the chief priests also, mocking with the scribes and elders, said, 42 "He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him.  43 He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, 'I am the Son of God.'"
