HURRICANE GUSTAV – New Orleans
Today the post about the a wall of tide coming in was
sent out onto my email list, in chronological order to
my rhema.
VISION: The tide was rolling in and it was
a huge amount of water. I climbed up higher on the
stairs to get away from the water.

I realized it was related to Hurricane Gustav that will
hit land today, onto New Orleans, the same town that was
flooded by Katrina.
At the industrial canal, there is some small street
flooding, a couple inches. This is on the upper 9th
ward where the water is gushing over the top. It is the
old part of the levee that they did not rebuild during
Katrina. There are over 350 miles of levees. No homes
are being flooded. It dissipated to a category 2 storm.

WAYNE WORD: Wayne was thinking about the
Mississippi river at New Orleans and then heard the Lord
say, “This is a warning for My church.”
SANDY INTERP: Today’s media has been focused on
the levees holding and not flooding New Orleans. I was
thinking that the levee was a parable of the wall of
intercessors taking their places to preserve the world
from judgment. When the enemy comes in like a flood,
the Spirit of the Lord raises a standard against him.
The parable of the levee is that it is not tall enough,
nor strong enough, but needs more work and greater
reinforcement. We watched the waves and wind splash
over the levees during the whole storm. They appeared
very vulnerable in memory of Hurricane Katrina that
occurred 3 years ago. Katrina caused 3 levee breaks
that put more than 80% of Orleans Parish under water.
An estimated 200,000 homes in New Orleans were destroyed
or damaged by Katrina. According to one census, Orleans
Parish lost 62% of its population (171,133 people
displaced) that never returned to the area.
So far Katrina has cost the government about 200
million, with more expected. Katrina started as a
category 5, winds of 175 MPH, then downgraded to
category 4 with 150 MPH. One of the ways they are
upgrading and rebuilding the levees is by driving 79
feet deep sheetpiles down into the earth and these are
replacing the old ones that are 22 feet. That was
quickened to me as the “pillars” in God’s temple, which
are intercessors who are stable in their authority and
long time obedience and faith. Much infrastructure is
integrated into their “stand” in the Lord’s Word.
Another part of New Orleans collapse was the collapse of
the Interstate 10 twin span bridge which was the major
supply route into the city. It was built with sections
connecting to sections, and over 400 sections collapsed
by the water moving up under the sections creating an
air pressure that caused them to bump up and off their
place.
As I was seeing the rebuilding of the bridge on Modern
Marvels, I suddenly had a vision of 2 prophetic camps
connecting prophets together as a bridge for God’s
people to travel safely. Each section of the bridge is
one prophet.
It was quickened to me that when they rebuilt the
bridge, they took sections from one twin and inserted
them into the other bridge which allowed 2 way traffic.
Then in rebuilding the second one, they inserted
different kind of sections that do not allow air
pressure to build underneath them when water rises. The
2 camps are the sons of thunder and the sons of
nurture. (Can be found in the QW search engine.) One
camp focuses on warfare, the other on the Presence of
the Lord. Right now the Lord is moving prophets from
one position to another and rebuilding boundaries to
keep traffic moving forward through transition.
They are considering building flood “gates” that protect
the amount of water going into the canals. I was
reminded of the spiritual position of being gatekeepers,
or judges in the entrance of city. These are spiritual
fathers who exercise their spiritual authority to open
and close doors through decrees and judicial justice.
HOW TO STAND IN THE GAP: Intercessors stand in
the gap and take their places through prayer, decree,
sacrifice, repentance, obedience, abiding, importunity,
intercessions, fasting and more. We are to be the salt
of the earth, to preserve her and steward her.

land nor for the dunghill, but men throw it out. He who
has ears to hear, let him hear!"

its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good
for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot
by men.

When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of
the LORD will lift up a standard against him.
QUICKENED MEMORY: I remembered an old prophesy by
Bob Jones about an old Madrid fault line opening up
causing large flooding with the Mississippi river being
100 miles across. If that were to happen, it has the
potential of dividing the USA in half, where it becomes
2 land masses, divided by a body of water. Intercessors
need to pray that the division among the body of Christ
will be healed.
