“I know what that feels like, I hated myself for years.  But boy what righteousness has done for me.  I like myself. I like me.   I like my personality, I like my big mouth.  I like my boldness, I like my aggressiveness.  Now, my mouth gets me in trouble sometimes. Sometimes I am a little bit too aggressive, but do you know what?  I like me.  Do you know why I decided to like me?  Because I can never get away from me.  Everywhere I go, there I am.  And it is not very much fun to spend even 5 minutes with somebody you don’t like.  So I decided that if I am going to spend the rest of my life with me, then I am going to like me!”  {The crowd goes wild!}

{end quote}

Her attitude about herself was really refreshing and the following scriptures came to mind as I pondered this.  I am overcoming autoimmune arthritis issues which is the body attacking itself.  God wants our souls healthy!  We have got to learn how to love ourselves and cherish us in our temples, because God created us as His beloved vessels of glory.  How can we love others if we do not love ourselves?

Mark 12:31 NKJV

And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

Eph 5:29 NKJV

For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.

3 John 2 NKJV

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

1 Cor 6:19-20 NKJV

 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
