Today the Lord opened my sense
of smell and I smelled roses, an intense fragrance, it
lasted a long time. I smelled it 3 times. The first when
Wayne was in the back, then when he came into the living
room and then after I shared this with him.
REOCCURRING SONG: For
several days I have been hearing the phrase of the song: My
loving arms surround you.
I had prayed and asked the
Lord what story to share today in Scrapbook Heaven and the
one about Ruby’s Double Delight Roses came to me. We
are waiting for His double portion of His Spirit and power
to fall.
Tonight at prayer meeting, Kathy smelled a rose over me.
Then another intercessor heard the Lord say, “The bud is
blooming.” Yet another said it is a double portion rose.
Kathy said a rose continues to smell even after death, and
that each petal is a separate and unique gift the Lord had
given to share with His people. They talked about the
Double Delight rose that smells so succulent. It is a rose
with its lacy edges dipped in red.
The
next day a lady came to church and danced before the Lord
with a lovely rose in her hand. Afterward she gave it to me
saying that it was a Double Delight rose that she had picked
from Ruby’s yard. The smell was heavenly strong perfume!
The next day Ruby saw the rose on my counter and I told her
it was called Double Delight. She said she had Double
Delights in her yard…I just stared at her and then laughed!
I had forgotten the lady had told me she had picked it from
Ruby’s yard! This was Ruby’s rose! The Lord brought the
whole Word full circle! It was a precious reminder of how
our beloved intercessors all fit together in one beautiful
garden.
GOD SPEAKS IN CIRCLES
Many times the Word of the Lord come to us in circles. He
starts with one Word and then circles around that word,
adding more ideas until the understanding comes. If we look
back in history we will see how pieces fit.
Last month I had a choice to dismantle and cut off the cable
to my personal TV in my bedroom. As it was I was only
watching G rated Non-Fiction, but felt even those “air
waves” were interfering with my hearing and seeing purely.
Ephesians 2:2 In which in
time past you walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of
the power of the air, the spirit that now works in
the children of disobedience.
PROMISES IN ISAIAH 35
Isaiah 35:1-10 The
wilderness and the dry land shall be glad for them; and the
desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. 2 It shall
blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing:
the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellence
of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD,
and the excellency of our God. 3 Strengthen you the weak
hands, and make firm the feeble knees. 4 Say to them that
are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your
God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he
will come and save you. 5 Then the
eyes of the blind shall be
opened, and the ears of the
deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Then shall the lame man
leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for
in the wilderness shall
waters break forth, and streams in the desert. 7 And
the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land
springs of water: in the habitation of jackals, where each
lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. 8 And a highway
shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of
holiness; the unclean shall
not pass over it; but it shall be for others: the
wayfaring men, though fools,
shall not err
therein. 9 No lion shall be
there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up on it, it shall
not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to
Zion with songs and
everlasting joy
upon their heads: they shall obtain joy
and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
THE
HIGHWAY OF HOLINESS 11/14/85
TRANCE VISION: The
following is a vision of gazing wonder the Lord gave me as
quoted from my journal: "When I went to sleep on November
14, 1985, I had a strong yearning for Jesus. As I slept, He
came to me and opened my eyes. I saw a huge, gigantic
banner unfolding across the sky. It said, "THE LORD JESUS
CHRIST." Suddenly I found myself in heaven looking down
upon a vast desert. It was dry, brown, flat, and immense.
As I gazed upon the lifeless desert, someone was standing
above and behind me declaring the scroll of Isaiah 35:
"Isa 35 NKJV
The wilderness and the
wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall
rejoice and blossom as the rose; It shall blossom abundantly
and rejoice, even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon
shall be given to it, The excellence of Carmel and Sharon.
They shall see the glory of the LORD, the excellency of our
God.
Strengthen the weak hands,
and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are
fearful-hearted, "Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God
will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He
will come and save you."

tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the
wilderness, and streams in the desert. The parched ground

and a road, and it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for
others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, shall not
go astray. No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous
beast go up on it; It shall not be found there. But the
redeemed shall walk there, And the ransomed of the LORD
shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with
everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and
gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away."
After Isaiah 35 had been
announced, I heard the Lord say, "And the desert shall
blossom as a rose. It shall happen all at once, and it
shall happen suddenly." Immediately I saw the desert come
to life. The sight was astounding and oh so beautiful!
Everywhere blossoms emerged: this dry, lifeless region
became a spacious garden of color and beauty. Then I came
out of the gazing vision. As I woke, I was still in awe of
what I'd seen, because it was so beautiful. I knew the Lord
was speaking a promise of what He would be doing to our dry
desert like lives. He was going to rain His Presence upon
us and we would emerge with life and beautiful blossoms."
