DON'T PLAY OLD TAPES

RHEMA 11/07/04

VISION: I saw a bed quilt carefully laid out at the foot of the bed.

HEARD: Tapestry.

EXCERPT LAST NIGHT'S POETRY2PONDER

The tatters and the frays

Of what has gone astray.

Lift and pull and gently tug.

All the threads until they are snug.

To see His image on the tapestry of your life

Come into focus as you lay down all strife.

What a glorious view having born so much pain.

Now that I have seen you, I will never be the same.

HEARD: Remove the stumbling blocks.

VISION: I saw a bunch of old black tapes.

[INTERP: Don't replay the old tapes, they are past tense.]

HEARD: Don't go there. That's backwards. Removed the shame. It's gone. Pow. Just like that. Wings. It's a roof of protection, always there, guiding and guarding. As to the new door that is opening. The old door must be completely closed. Thought life.

INTERESTING WORD 2/07/05

The Lord gave me a "Word" last night about re-visiting old painful places.

We bought a backup drive with software called Retrospect, and so my lap top was backing up the entire operating system and it took over 2 hours. I went onto my old computer and decided to clean up the old files. I found some old files I had not found before. I was thinking it would be nice to retrieve some of the information off of them. Then I vacillated, thinking maybe I should not re-read some of the old painful places since I was in a new place. But I copied them anyway onto a disk. Then I deleted everything off the old computer and emptied the trash.

When I finally got my lap top back and put in the disk, the folder was there, but it was totally empty of information. Then immediately a strange menu popped up from Zone Alarm. It said that "Retrospect is trying to access the internet." I clicked, "Deny" (the action) and then I "got" the Word. I understood the Lord was trying to tell me He didn't want my looking back at the past. He is so precious to speak to us like this. Just to be sure, I looked up the word retrospect and here are the synonyms.

Retrospect

Looking Back

Contemplating on the past

Recollection

Considering past events

Remembering

Memory

CONCLUSION

============

{Words to Ponder are summaries of His quickened Words of prophetic revelation, punched with the word of wisdom and written under inspiration.}

WORD TO PONDER:

DON'T LOOK BACK 7/3/02

The enemy is trying to distract you from moving away from your past and into your inheritance. His ploy is to get you to look backward into the past and believe things will always be the same. He wants you to look at the old wounds and the old scars and remember and wallow in them. I say it is possible for things to change! The past is not too strong and as you focus on My Word and on what I say, things shall indeed change. The past is over, and the future is before you.

I came to set you free. You have been living in great confinement and I want to expand your joys and borders into new territory. You see yourself with such limits. I see only your potential. I am re-defining who you are in Me. You have My favor, My precious one. Now align with My Word, for I want to establish and confirm you.

"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee." (2 Cor 1:20-22 NKJV)
