DEPRESSION, PORN AND DELIVERANCE  5/02/13

There are 2 opposing moves in the earth that are growing up together at the same time.  One is opposing God and scripture and the other is embracing God and His Word.  The fruits of these are either darkness or light.

Isaiah 60:1-2 Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you.

There are so many living according to the world’s morals and entertainment that are facing depression and as the days grow darker, so is their depression.  As sin and disobedience to scripture increases, depression and darkness of soul will be rampant. 

One time I remember going to a Charles and Francis Hunter meeting and he said the Lord had given a Word.  He said that someone is very depressed and you have turned it inward. He explained that black holes were stars that had a magnetic gravity pull inward and they imploded and lost their light. He said it was a serious warning. I consider this a serious warning for those who choose to use sin as a false comfort to escape depression.  It is turning inward instead of God-ward.

The downward spiral of depression is directly connected to the depth of sin they are involved with.  When someone opens the door to violate scripture the devil has legal access to come in and plunder a person’s life.  To the degree the person does not obey, (without God’s merciful deliverance) this cycle grows with worse sin and plunders downwards towards destruction.

Many who are depressed are choosing counterfeit comforts and finding themselves in deeper and deeper cycles of depression in an effort to remedy the depression.  The truth is that the only way to overcome depression is to turn to God and seek Him and obey His Word.  These who are caught in sin do not understand they have given themselves over to demons who trap them with addictions and inability to get free.

DEPRESSION DRIVES PEOPLE TO GOD

Depression (darkness of the soul) can be a good thing, in that the Lord allows that pain to drive a person to Him and to seek help.  However the deceiving maze is that people seek comfort through sin instead of going through the cross… death to self through submitting to Him, His Word, His ways. 

They continue in the cycles until their mind is made up that He is the only answer to their issue and they repent and turn from their sin.  They become desperately hungry and come to their senses.  The Heavenly Father is looking for their return and is longing to forgive their sin and cleanse them.

Luke 15:17-20 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before you, 19 And am no more worthy to be called your son: make me as one of your hired servants. 20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

THE FRUIT OF PORNOGRAPHY IS THE LAST DAYS TRIBULATION

Those who use porn as an escape for depression and do not repent from that lifestyle, are heading towards the end time tribulation.

Porn is breaking 2 of the 10 commandments: Worshipping graven images and coveting.

In the NT porn is the sin of fornication which is the Greek word from which we get the word pornography. 

1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is outside the body; but he that commits fornication {4203} sins against his own body.

4203. πορνευω porneuo
from 4204; to act the harlot, i.e. (literally) indulge unlawful lust (of either sex), or (figuratively) practice idolatry:—commit (fornication).

In the NT porn is also idolatry which is worshipping an image.

1 Corinthians 10:14 Therefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.  {1494}

image-worship (literally or figuratively):—idolatry.

The word fornication is mentioned in the NT and is a serious offence.  Those who practice such go into the tribulation. {Ac 15:20,29; Ac 21:25; Ro 1:29; 1Co 5:1; 1Co 6:13,18; 1Co 7:2; 1Co 10:8; 2Co 12:21; Ga 5:19; Eph 5:3; Col 3:5; 1Th 4:3; Jude 1:7; Re 2:14,20-21; Re 9:21; Re 14:8; Re 17:2,4; Re 18:3,9; Re 19:2}

Revelation 2:20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

Revelation 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

The eye gate is a doorway to either good or evil/ light or darkness.  There is much depth of meaning to the following scripture.  The problem with opening the eye gate to evil, is that it can turn a person’s light into dark light, which is false counterfeit light, the root of deception.

Luke 11:34-36 NKJV 34 The lamp of the body is the eye . Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light . But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light."

Matthew 6:23 But if your eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you be darkness, how great is that darkness!

DELIVERANCE

There is coming an amazing movement of the Lord that will be delivering people from demons on a massive level in audiences instead of on-one-one.  The manifestations of such in the meetings will cause violent division among Christians who do not believe in deliverance and they will call this move counterfeit.  But it will be instigated only by the return of the power of God’s glory into meetings.  When that move comes, the fear of the Lord will have already returned and people will already have paid the miserable price for their sinning.  In such states of mind, they will not only have repented, but been convinced enough to never, never open demonic doors again.

Until that day comes, I try to encourage people to practice resisting sin, because if they get deliverance too soon without a strengthened will to refuse sin, they end up returning to their sin which opens the door for 7 more demons to come in. 

Matthew 12:45 Then he goes, and takes with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

The Lord wants people’s wills to be strengthened to say no to sin, and yes to obeying His Word, as they need to have their wills and minds strengthened enough to NEVER return, else they will be worse for having been delivered. 

In the following scripture, it is written in chronological order.  It is first that we submit to God and only then can we resist the devil and he will flee.  This is through crying out to God for help to obey His Word and then saying no to demonic influence while at the same time FLEEING from the magnetizing grip of that door.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
