DELIVERANCE AND THE HUMAN WILL

QUESTION FROM READER:

Do we cast out demons in a person who says they want to go home when we realize that it is the demons talking?

We tried to talk to her about this, make her realize what was happening, that the demon was controlling her, but that it could be gotten rid of, but all she wanted to do was go home. She began to get more and more agitated at the deliverance team to the point where she was angry and was on the verge of saying things that I felt she would eventually regret. So I let her go home.

We spent another hour praying for her after she left. We even went looking for her on the off chance that she had remained some place in the church, but her car was gone. What should I have done? I didn't know what else to do? Should I have made her stay and instead cast that demon out of her? Against her will? And will a demon leave when it knows the "house" it is living in, doesn't want to give it up?

Yes I see your dilemma. In answer to your question, the bottom line is that people have to be able to keep the demons out after they leave, otherwise 7 worse will return. A person's will is very important in deliverance. Our awesome God is so huge and so powerful and yet He chose to yield His rights to be so in one area: giving free will. He could force anyone to love Him, but that would take the real gift of love away. All of heaven and earth and hell are submitted to the principle of free will. It was there from the beginning and satan took 1/3 of heaven with him.

Will a demon leave regardless of a person's will? Yes if forced out by someone stronger than he. But that is not wisdom, and might be unauthorized deliverance.

Matt 7:22-23 NKJV

Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

Outside of demons that came through the womb from blood lines, it is my understanding that all demons are pets. They are nurtured and coddled because of sin and then they grow where even worse ones come in until there is a real infrastructure, finally to the point that the person has no more will. (... sin no more lest a worse thing come upon you. John 5:14)

The majority of the time people do not even realize that the emotions they are feeling are not their own, but the demons stroking their own personalities through their host. It is very sad and sickening to really understand this truth. Yes I believe that most of demonic power is empowered because of human free will and their ability to hide under the cloke of human ignorance.

My approach to deliverance is twofold. One, usually if the person is asking for it, they are ready. Two if the Holy Spirit's Presence has caused a demon to manifest, then that particular demon is ready. If the demon is manifesting and the person is not ready, then bind the demon and command it to stop manifesting and wait on the Lord.

My love is unconditional and I only want volunteers who will love Me in return. I will not demand another's love for I only want those who will love Me of their own free wills. But the time is short and I am about to bring in My great harvest. Many loved ones are yet lost, presently destined for an eternity away from Me. It is because I have washed and cleansed My own through My Son's precious blood. They know My love and it has proven unconditional, no matter what.

Beloved, you are My own and I have made you altogether lovely and whole and I see not even a blemish. Accept My Son's blood for you, and accept that before My eyes, you are pure as the fresh fallen snow. I love you with an everlasting love. Know that when men's hearts fail them for fear, that yours is safe with Me.
