Dancing Hands
One of the ways the Lord uses my hands is in worship. I
"dance" through my hands and arms even when sitting in a
chair, bed or at church. I strongly feel the Presence of
the Lord upon me when I do this, and so all shyness
leaves me. I simply express my adoration to Him and also
His message as it comes to me, through the motions.
In the 80's I had several visions where I was doing this
same "dance" flying in the sky. I felt every movement as
strong yearnings and love motions to His Presence and
the songs that the Holy Spirit was bringing forth on
earth. Only in those dances, I was moving my entire body
in the gravity free movement of flying and my whole
heart, body and soul were expressing my adoration of
Him, and also in response to what the Holy Spirit was
playing through the music.
It has been many years since I had a vision like that,
but I experience the same worship now in literal life,
when I use my hands to worship Him in dance. I have
found His Spirit is very creative when it comes to
expressing many signs and fluidity of expression.
Ps 134 NKJV
Behold, bless the LORD, All you servants of the LORD,
Who by night stand in the house of the LORD! 2 Lift up
your hands in the sanctuary, And bless the LORD. 3 The
LORD who made heaven and earth Bless you from Zion!
Ps 63:8 NKJV
God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul
thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and
thirsty land Where there is no water. 2 So I have looked
for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your
glory. 3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than
life, My lips shall praise You. 4 Thus I will bless You
while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. 5 My
soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And
my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.
When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in
the night watches. 7 Because You have been my help,
Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. 8
My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand
upholds me.
RHEMA 6/16/97: USE YOUR HANDS TO EXPRESS THE KINGDOM
DREAM: I was helping people express themselves
when they were worshipping the Lord. I also shared how
important it was not to despise the children, but to
love and hug them when we could. I was remembering the
verse where Jesus held the children. I was wanting them
to become more free in their expression. It was a small
group of people, then it grew to a huge coliseum filled
with people expressing their worship in unusual ways. I
saw two people do various cartwheels and gymnastics!
I noticed there was an upper level that circled the
main floor area. People were quite packed up there and
it was similar to a mall area. They were more interested
in the appearance of what they looked like in their
worship outfits, than the worship on the main floor
level. When I looked down at the floor where masses were
expressing themselves, I politely excused myself and
said, “I don't want to become isolated, I need to stay
with them.” I saw the escalator and took it down to the
main floor.
As I was worshipping, I saw an angel floating above
my head. She had a very long gown on. She looked down at
me and I began to slightly bow before her as I danced. I
also displayed my hands as though introducing that she
wanted to say something. I said to myself, I am not
worshipping her, but giving her honor. She said to me
still floating above my head so that I had to look up,
“Express yourself with your hands. That's what the Lord
wants.”
WORD TO PONDER 6/16/97 FREELY EXPRESS YOUR HEART IN
WORSHIP
I want to bring My people into greater levels of
worship. They shall know and feel My Presence as they
learn to move their hands and their bodies in expression
to their hearts and to the move of My Holy Spirit. My
heavenly breeze will blow through and release them into
greater and greater heights of praise. Only the
childlike will be able to come into the freedom of
expressing their hearts like this. And I will rejoice
even if they do cartwheels for Me! How it touches My
heart to see them pour out their love for Me in
abandoned ways!
Consider your own heart and beware of another movement
lurking in the same crowd. There will be some more
interested in their apparel, what they look like, and
even in the marketing of such, more than a pure heart in
expressing their love for Me. There is nothing wrong
with using beautiful garb to worship Me, but I see the
hearts and know when they are more focused on themselves
and what they look like than expressing their childlike
love towards Me.
“And you shall love the LORD your God with all your
heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with
all your strength.” (Mark 12:30 NKJV)
STRETCH FORTH 7/14/04
PROPHETIC INTERCESSION, PROPHETIC MIMING: Today
while getting dressed, I was worshipping to Don Potter's
song about stretching forth the tent stakes. The Spirit
came upon me and I fell into a combination of prophetic
intercession and gesture. I was stretching forth the
stakes and finally pounding them in. It was a
distinctive expression because when the Holy Spirit was
upon me in this, I felt the Spirit of Might in the
stretch and the hammering in.
This was such an experience, I took it as a personal
Word from the Lord to me and I prayed that I did not
want to lose even an inch of territory that had been
bought and won during the long war I was in. I know
there is free territory to come into and I did not want
to lose it because of my own frailties.
Isa 54:1-3 NKJV
Sing, O barren, you who have not borne! Break forth
into singing, and cry aloud, you who have not labored
with child! For more are the children of the desolate
than the children of the married woman," says the LORD.
"Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch
out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare;
Lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. For you
shall expand to the right and to the left, and your
descendants will inherit the nations, and make the
desolate cities inhabited.
