RHEMA 7/09/13  CATCH AND RELEASE

HEARD:  Bring it to the table.  Catch and release.

QUICKENED MEMORY:  I recently watched a documentary where a fellow investigates fish problems.  He was catching them and releasing them.

Jeremiah 16:16 Behold, I will send for many fishermen, says the LORD, and they shall catch them; and afterward will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

HEARD:  I left them to their own decisions.

2 Chron 32:31

However, regarding the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, whom they sent to him to inquire about the wonder that was done in the land, God withdrew from him, in order to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart.

COMMENT:  Sometimes the Lord reels us in like fighting fish in areas that we are running away from Him and not listening.  He brings us to have to face an issue, so that we clearly see it and cant ignore the truth.  And then He releases us to make our own decision about it, whether to run away or stay and deal with it.

VISION:  I saw a chevron patterned design going up and down along a wall.  Underneath the pattern was flatline going across as though to bring a grounded balance to the design.

COMMENT: A chevron pattern looks like the rick rack stitch in sewing, up and down in letter Vs.   My sense about this Word is that there are areas in our lives that go up and down, up and down because we are happy when we obey God and unhappy when we do not!  He is wanting to bring our lives into a balanced place where we are stable in Him where we are in obedience to the Word of God.

Isaiah 40:3-8 The voice of him that cries in the wilderness, Prepare you the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. 4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places smooth: 5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it. 6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is as the flower of the field: 7 The grass withers, the flower fades: because the breath of the LORD blows upon it: surely the people are grass. 8 The grass withers, the flower fades: but the word of our God shall stand forever.

PRAYER:  Lord have mercy upon us!  Do no leave us to our own devices and rebellions!  Help us to be willing to be willing!  Lord You want us to work out our own salvation in fear and trembling, but You also work within us to help us be willing to do Your will!  Please do not withdraw from us.  Grant us grace to face those issues that are not pleasing You. Grant us grace to change.  Grant us grace to walk in full obedience because we want to love You with all our hearts, all our minds, all our souls and all our bodies.  We want to love You Lord with every choice and every motive.  Help us to love You as You fully deserve.

Philippians 2:12-13 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
