BOOMERANGS FLY BOTH DIRECTIONS

For many years I have heard the Lord speak the word "Boomerang" to me. It has been spoken in various applications, but always in relation to warfare. However, no matter how many times I heard it, I never really was able to understand the right interpretation. It was strong meat.

Before I was given the gift of interpretation, I had some very unusual experiences of hearing strong meat and most of the time I did not like them at all. I found out early on that strong meat is so strong, it can be interpreted two opposing ways. One way is positive with an interpretation involving the Kingdom of God, and the other is negative involving the realm of the enemy. I finally learned that just because I heard the Lord, didn't mean I understood what He meant, and I finally learned to wait and become very dependent upon Him for understanding. The Lord also uses strong meat to try and test us so that the real issues in our hearts and motives come to the surface. He desires us to become aware of them and cooperate with Him in changing us.

So. the word "Boomerang" became one of those words recorded in the rhema, but left alone… that is until after several years of not hearing the term, suddenly I heard the word 3 times in one month. The following are excerpts of what I heard in that month, and you will see for yourself how this term continued to be strong meat.

HEARD: Mission accomplished. Fasten your seat belt. It's rough weather. Boomerang. Show and tell. How it feels.

HEARD: Here I am with a group of people. Set the pace. I can't go on. Boomerang. Why so long? It is witchcraft, pure and simple. That is the difference.

HEARD: A spirit of hopelessness. Taken up. It lifted.

VISION: I was in the ocean waves making my way to the shore. I looked behind me and saw a curtain roll down from the sky and stop the next wave from overtaking me.

HEARD: Write that down. Boomerang.

CONFIRMATION: FINALLY UNDERSTANDING ARRIVES

The month following the above entries, I attended a Bobby Conner meeting and he said that now a divine shield was being raised up against the curses of witchcraft. He said that every curse against the body of Christ would boomerang back to the senders. He said he was hearing the word boomerang.

BACK TO STRONG MEAT

When I heard Bobby share this, I was very delighted and the Word simmered inside my memory for a couple months. During this time I was wrestling with my conscience in how to appropriate the Word. I knew Bobby's Word was from the Lord, but my receiving it was still strong meat!

I was very seriously trained by the Lord in how to war properly. One of those issues was that we are told in scripture to bless those who curse us, to pray for them, never to avenge ourselves, to bless those who persecute, to forgive and not judge, love our enemies, overcome evil with good and let God have His own vengeance.

THE TEST

Even after thinking about all of this, I still did not realize that I had misunderstood the prophetic Word. Two months later I visited a church where there was a very strong spirit of witchcraft and control. It was so oppressive during worship that I could hardly breathe. I took authority over this and commanded the curses to boomerang back to the enemy, according to the Word of the prophet who said that now the Lord would boomerang the curses back in our defense. I was wondering about it when I prayed this, again thinking about the concept of blessing our enemies who curse us. I asked the Lord for a confirmation.

QUICKENED EYE GLANCE: When I went to bed that night, I turned to the following scripture. It was not underlined, I did not even know it was in the Bible. My eyes fell on it.

Prov 21:7 NLT

Because the wicked refuse to do what is just, their violence boomerangs and destroys them.

ANOTHER TEST

The following month I was again asking the Lord about this boomerang Word. I just did not understand. My family had been suffering some witchcraft junk and I was sick of fighting the curses and commanding them to be null and void in Jesus Name. I left the house for some errands and for a second time I took authority over the curses and sent them back to the senders, which is what I thought the Word of the prophet meant.

THE BOOMERANG

I called my husband a few minutes later to ask him a question. He said that right after I left, his computer fried. There was no power surge into the house from the electricity. He simply touched his mouse and upon impact heard a loud crackling sound and a pop. When he took his computer in to get it fixed, he was told everything burned; the hard drive, the mother board, the video cards, the modem, the power supply. There was nothing left at all. The next day our copy machine burned out after one good copy. The next day we lost our phone service for several days. There was no doubt about it, this was backlash.

DEFENSE

Where was the shield of the Lord? I decided something was quite awry and I looked back at my notes. As I re-read what Bobby said he'd heard, I realized something I had not seen before.

I realized there was no place in the scripture where it gives us permission to hurl the curses of witchcraft back to the senders. How are we to be the candle on a hill, and win those who are lost in witchcraft if we are hurling curses at them? Fighting fire with fire was not God's answer.

The Lord told me that when we avenge ourselves, we take away His job. EVEN WORSE THAN THAT, WHEN WE USE OUR OWN WEAPONS TO SEND A CURSE BACK, IT IS PRACTICING WITCHCRAFT.

WORD TO PONDER: WARRIOR MINDSETS

My faithful warriors, you have fought long and hard battles and so many have paid the price. Much has been accomplished in the heavenlies by your stand and I AM so grateful for your sacrifices.

I AM adjusting your training and bringing you into alignment with My purposes. You know that I AM Sovereign and nothing happens without My permission. Always remember that when you suffer backlash, something is wrong. Bow low in humility, wait before Me and raise not your own hand to avenge yourselves. I will clearly show you My path and My plan and you shall ultimately see victory. So many wars are yet to be won and My ways are an enigma to the mind-sets of the world. Lay down your preconceptions. Allow your King to go before you for I AM your Shield.
