{Words of Wisdom} THE BALANCE TO THE SCALES OF JUSTICE 1/07/07

Wrong choices with the right motives...
Right choices from the wrong motives;
All choice is weighed in the balance.

With every choice there is a door...
With every door there is a choice.
Life and death are in the balance.

Though they separate at the turn,
The fork in the road leads one place:
Life’s breath is weighed in the balance.

The sands of time pours forth its grain...
Just one weight balances the scales.
And justice hangs in the balance.

God measures the seed on the scale,
Rains on the good and bad ones.
And harvest waits in the balance.

Mercy triumphs over judgment.
God’s goodness leads to repentance
His warnings wait in the balance.

The earth does groan with man’s choices.
Taunt tight between good and evil.
And who’s standing in its balance?

Some things are not as they appear.
Some things are transparently clear.
All things are weighed in the balance.

The fear of God is not yet known
His justice is always perfect.
God alone is righteous balance.

When we face Him and see our lives
Thoughts and deeds and words and motives
Will be on the scales of balance.

And when we see the last grain fall
We will realize what weighed the most.
Each choice to love brings the balance.

So when you make choices in life
Always filter- is it for love?
And you will finally be balanced.

Prov 21:2-3 NKJV
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the hearts. To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

Isa 28:17 NKJV
Also I will make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the plummet.

Hos 2:19-20 NKJV
Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and justice, in lovingkindness and mercy; I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, and you shall know the LORD.

Matt 22:37-40 NKJV
Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

Matt 25:40 NKJV
And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'

1 Cor 13:13 NLT
There are three things that will endure — faith, hope, and love — and the greatest of these is love.
